"Hopefully next year he will have them in the regular store, did you get those from a "collaborating membership" or kickstarter or sweet-talk?"

It was through a Collaborating Membership. I am hoping it will do well indoors in my hydro farm.

Let us know how you like it, I grew a couple of Fred's Dolce di Minervino last year, and I didn't like that as much as some of the other thicker skinned peppers I grew, although I liked it more than some others. I haven't given up on it though, I'm planning to grow one again this year.

Just an fyi - last season I grew the "pink Habanero" seeds I received in the 2020 MMMM. It was brutal hot - definitely NOT a Pink Habanero. Consensus guess is it's a 7 Pot White.

My experience exactly, with a pink! The only pink hab I grew was almost as hot as my chocolate habanero, though not as flavorful or as productive, which is why I didn't repeat it. Obviously another pink variety!

You all are growing so many pepper varieties that I never heard of. Wow!

I normally only grow Cute Stuff F1, Sweet Banana, Hungarian Wax and once in a while some variety of Jalapeno for my husband.

This year I'm growing just one plant of several varieties to try to find a replacement for Cute Stuff F1 which is no longer available (and I wasn't satisfied with the F2 seeds that I grew from it):
Gypsy F1
Little Bells
Frank's (Thanks Tormato!)
Nick's Thin Skin
Earlired
Jupiter
Red Wonder

Also:
Sweet Banana
Italian Sweet Frying (to compare to Sweet Banana)

For my husband:
Early Jalapeno
Hungarian Wax
~ Darlene ~
My garden is made of multiple 6' diameter x 24" tall round stock tanks, located in a small clearing on our wooded property in the center of Pennsylvania. Hardiness zone 6b (updated). Heat zone 4.

Frank's is so easy to grow, it's basically idiot proof. I'll leave it at that. ;)

You’re joking, right? It’s been available from the MMMM swap for years, and at https://www.sandhillpreservation.com/pepper

Well I didn't know about them until recently so didn't ask for them in the swap. I did check out Sand hill but they were not on the whats for sell list >,< But thank you for your response.

We're not real big on peppers here, especially really hot peppers. This spring I'll be planting:

1 Ancho (for stuffing)
1 Gypsy ( for fresh use and freezing. Had three last year. Too many!)
3 Jalapeno M (for canning pickled jalapeno slices and making poppers)
1 Margaret's (for fresh use and freezing. Tried for first time last year and it did well)
1 Prairie Spice (for stuffing and cooking)
1 Red Marconi (for fresh use and freezing.)
1 Tangerine Dream(something new someone sent to me)

My mom grows Roumanian Red bell peppers. She originally got the seeds from Tomato Growers and has just saved her own since. So we'll be growing some of them at her place.

I'm trying these Candyland bells that I found from a person on Etsy. She says they're striped, like those Holland/Enjoya ones from the grocery store that have to be grown from cuttings to come true. But she says she's been growing them from seed for some time and got her seeds from a farmer's market vendor. So I'm curious to try them. I've got a few up and getting their first true leaves right now.

We might also try some other oddball varieties (Sundar and Milky Way) that I got from a Russian seed vendor. As well as banana peppers and jalepeno peppers.

To all of those growing Prairie Spice -

I'd love to hear how they do for you this year. (I'm the one that grew it out and named it.)

I'd especially like to hear from people up north since as far as I'm aware there's only been one grower in Canada so far.

Thanks,
Pati

I bought the seed because it was on Ellie's WOW! list at BunnyHop and I've enjoyed making my own paprika.
