MissS wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 2:57 pmThat's great news! I'm sick in bed with my tea and soup today, so no packing seeds and sending things out. Just let me know what you need.
Get well soon! Cold-n-Rainy...good day to be indoors...hope this helps:

@Cornelius_Gotchberg That feels me a bunch better! It is a great day to be in bed. I made some chicken tortellini soup and it hits the spot.
I'm loving the rain because it's washing in my secret ingredient into my soil to feed my big ones.

I'm sorry to say I think my competition seed were lost in the mail. It's been 9 days since MissS said they were on their way. It figures. That's the way it goes for me.
However, my Domingo and Westerlund seedlings are doing fine.

Domingo is a potential monster. Good eating tomato, too.

I think that I have all of the giant tomato seeds out now. I PM'd everyone when their seeds went out. If you have not received them or did not get a PM, then please let me know so that I can get it rectified. I am not perfect and I have been rather sick for a bit here. I'm much better now, so let's get growing!

With the exception of my 2 competition choices being lost in the mail, I have the Domingo and am well equipped anyhow! After this horrendous wind we've been having the past 3 days, I hope to get my transplants out!

I’m in it but barely I might be bowing out ..@ MissS I saved the one Domingo you sent me I started the others you gave me because I didn’t want to waste it just in case it is safe and snuggled away for the right time..I’m glad I didn’t use it my seedlings have been dying left and right I can only blame myself at this point ..they just don’t like the dirt I used or the fertilizer no matter how low I dilute it . It didn’t matter.. never seen such angry seedlings haha.. lesson learned.. I’ll update when things change so far there not looking that well.

Didn't I send you some competition Domingo's? The majority of the competition tomatoes are Domingo.

That's so sad. I'm sorry to hear that. I hope that you figure it out soon. Losing seedlings is part of the game. It happens to all of us.
No worries about the seed. There are plenty more for next year and those that manage to harvest a fruit will be sending some seeds in too. We all take care of each other around here and you won't be going without seeds.

About a month ago I SASE'd for #5 and #7 and on March 13th you mentioned that they should come soon. So I kept waiting on them and they never arrived so recently you sent me some awesome Domingo lines with a note that said #5 and #7 were all gone. I'm not upset about anything, just trying to clear up any confusion but I'm 100% satisfied with the lovelies you sent me! I'm afraid I won't have room to do all of them this year though.

My dynamic trio are growing beautifully! I've got sticky traps out to help stop thrips and leaf miner flies. There's a bad storm coming in Saturday night so I'll be covering my babies.

This is my sole candidate for 2 pounder+ tomato this year:

Or what's left of it after frost damage, and I'm not starting new seeds.

Hopefully it will perk up for you. Even if it doesn't produce a monster, it's supposed to taste very good.
