Hadn't heard of Tanzanian Peaberry before, so I googled -- these are coffee fruits?

They are called berries.After the coat comes off you ferment the seeds ,rinse ,dry then convince wife to put it in the oven to roast.Airfry works but it impregnates whole house with the aroma.

Yes, Tanzanian peaberry is a sought after Arabica coffee grown on the slopes of Mount Kilamanjaro.

Hard to imagine an Arabica type that normally is grown at 4,500-6.000 feet asl in Tanzania would be particularly like the Sea Level tropical climate of Florida. Kudos to Kurt for getting production. Maybe growing Tanzanian Peaberry on the extreme northern edge of the tropics in Florida mimics or mirrors some of the cooler climate it would normally get up at elevation, at least during the northern hemisphere winter.

Robusta coffee is the type of coffee that typically likes lower elevation tropical climes and warmer conditions than Arabica coffee.

I have grown plants from the mom,single and the double beans that occur.If wanted will send the some. Takes about 3months,but they showed up after shoving in ground.

Cosmos and Volunteer Zinnia, the Mustard is a volunteer also. The runway arugula in the background is from saved seed from the spring crop. Sure is tasty. The first generation Cosmos during the warm weather was twice as tall.

The ermine moth, Atteva aurea on loquat flowers. Loquat flowers are about the best smelling thing going. I can smell them 200 feet away.

So I built a outdoor cat shelter, I don't know if the black stray cat actually used it at all except something did wandered inside, he have several different safe location to stay around the neighborhood. Last night I put some scrap foods in the bowl on the deck. Turned on the deck light this morning at 4am and he was sitting there. It's like 25*F outside but I left the door open for a bit, he came in staying near the entrance and looked around. I tried to get closer but he ran back out and away. Pretty much obligated to feed him regularly now I guess.

Just came across this pic from summer. The tubular flowers of the sesame plants were favorites with the bumblebees. All you could see was bee butts! LOTS of bee butts when the plants were in full flower!
