FINALLY...Hyacinths-n-Tulips (seemingly overnight!) to keep the Jonquils/Daffodils/Narcissus' company.

It gets better!

1st Garlic shoot breaks the surface!

Things should pop good with it hitting ~ 65°F/18.3°C today.

Snow Drops, Crocus, Scilla blooming way late, but that didn't stop the bees, who were having a field day yesterday when that big Yellow Thing finally came out.

The 1st Daffodil will open today & the Hyacinth flower spikes are taking shape.

Despite decidedly cool weather, my fave shade-luvin' waxy-leaved Desdemona, Sibirica, & Rocket Ligularia are unfolding in an as yet sunless north-facing box.

My beds soil temps this AM were 48-49F. Should warm up this weekend and especially next week, once they are hitting 60 my tomatoes and peppers are taking the plunge!

@jmsieglaff; "once they are hitting 60 my tomatoes and peppers are taking the plunge!"

I'm with you, especially after this cold, dreary, LENGTHY Spring!

But last year we had a Memorial Day weekend freeze, ergo, Once Bitten, Twice Shy.

You should have seen my beds last Memorial Day weekend, I basically erected a massive tent city with painting drop cloths, blankets, anything I could find. Luckily it worked!

Most of My Babies not only spent their 1st (overcast) day outdoors, but will spend their 1st night out, as well.
