Blinking Notifications

I definitely do not this new feature of notifications blinking. It is very distracting. Is there a way for me to turn that feature off?

Update - I see that if I mark all notifications read that it stops the blinking on the posts.

I didn't mind the blinking at the top where it says notifications but every post with notification icons was blinking too.

Yeah, I don't mind it blinking up where it says Notifications but please, can it be turned off everywhere else? Very distracting.

I just noticed it too. They didn't stop until I individually clicked on every notification. Set off a migraine. Back later...

Sorry to cause trouble and not post about the new option. Someone asked about making it easier to notice new PM's and this is what I added.

There's 2 ways to stop the blinking notifications icon. 1. Go to your user settings and change settings so you only get notifications you want to see especially PM's, that means it will only blink when you have a new PM. You can also change notifications that are sent to your email.

2. click the notifications tab under the header and click "mark all read" and that should work till you get another notification.

Rajun Gardener it's not just in the notification line that is blinking. It is the reaction icon at the bottom of every post on every page.

It will stop if I clear my notifications and mark all as read but this is a bit or a pain.

Can't the person who wants to see their PM's just train themselves to look for a number beside the Private Messages words rather than making everyone else clear their notifications every time they log in and have notifications?

I didn't notice it blinks on every page so it's gone, I'll try to find a better alternative.

Thks indeed! It was threatening to return the migraines I once had. I always scroll past any blinking flashing moving smilies anywhere.
And thanks for taking the time to fiddle with things for our every whim. :D

Seems to have stopped again, even with new ones there. But I said this before...
