I added a Serrano, two Jalapeño M and a Longhorn for hots.
Keystone, two Yolo Wonder, and Big Bertha on the sweet side.

Running out of real estate…

No list at the moment, as I gave away the last of my Frank's seed, so now I have to make some sort of plan, which I've never done before, and the planning is not going to be a pleasant task, with the growing possibly less pleasant.

Are you suggesting you need some seed for Frank’s pepper?

Frank's has always been my crutch. I guess that I need to step up my game, and actually try to succeed with some more difficult varieties.

Limited space here, so lots less than most of you guys. Hoping for at least three sweet type peppers, in with a tomato plant in the planter, and 1 jalapeno for PIC's dad, who likes them. Love to roast or stuff peppers here, salads too.

Seeded this week
trays of 50
Jalafuego (saved seed of the F1)-tray
Antohi Romani-tray
Red Marconi?? -Saved seed from a farmstand pepper seed that looks like red marconi - grown about 5 times now-tray
rows of 5
1 "italian long hot" I was given some last year from a bulk market buy and saved seed
2 Ajies Picantes - packets from a long ago MMMM
3 Thai Dragon / little inverted growers, real hot, been a while since I grew any
4 Joe's Long Cayenne
5 Habanada - been wanting to try a heatless hab
6 Nadapeno - appeasement - sometimes the popper chef complains the jalapano are too hot to eat
7 Shishito
8 Jimmy Nardello
9 Habanero - my old reliable friend
10 King of the North

I'm thinking of passing on anaheims. I usually grow numex Joe E Parker. I need to make chili sauce this year, and I usually use a lot of anaheims for that, so I am torn.

Question - What other sweet peppers look like red marconi and would be common at a PA farmstand? By internet pics, I'm pretty sure it is red marconi. The bush grows taller than my romani peppers.

My peppers are really looking good this year. Lots of fruit on most of them now. The Standouts are large Red Sweet Antigua, each of the five plants have a lot of fruit on them. I’ve never had this pepper before and it’s supposed to be very sweet when red. I grew those from some older seed I had from Renaissance Farms.

My three Bell peppers each have two fruit on them. Keystone, Yolo Wonder and Big Bertha are the types. We’ll see if they produce anything more, the peppers, the fruit, themselves are about half sized and the plants are still flowering.

Jimmy Nardellos, the takara Shishitos, the Golden Greek and Italian pepperocini looks well fruited. I staggered my plantings over March and into April. The various hot peppers are mostly just now setting fruit.

I planted more peppers this year than ever before and most of them from seed. Looks like the weather has been agreeable to the plants. It certainly has been dry, most any water they are getting is provided by me.

I’ve got pollinators galore in the form of carpenter and honey bees.

Pests on the peppers have been few and far in between. Picked off a hornworn on one or two. Sprayed Bt on all of them yesterday. Most of the leaves look untouched on most of the plants. Fungal and disease issues look very limited. The One hot banana pepper I got as a set looks infected with something. May rip it out.

Late to the party but here's what I've got going so far:

Wisconsin Lakes (Probably the last time. These don't do well for me. Reliable bell recommendations for the Midwest welcome.)
Poblano
Jalapeño, Traveler Strain
Sweet Banana (Farmers market saved seeds)
Orange, Yellow, and Red little snack peppers (An experiment with seeds I saved from supermarket purchase)
Some little hot ornamental from Trader Joe's (Saved seeds)
Isleño M.
Serrano
and possibly Cayenne

Started for friends but not growing myself: Hatch, Aji Amarillo

Re: Wisconsin Lakes Pepper

Reluctant as I am to hype America's Dairyland, there's another WESconsin-specific variety, the Beaver Dam Pepper https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beaver_Dam_pepper, a little on the hot side for my tastes (500-1000 SHUs) but I may give it a whirl next season.

Fantastic list Magic Mike. It looks like everyone has some great varieties I want to research.
My Jimmy Nardello peppers finally sprouted last, I can't wait to taste them.
Also planted :
Sweet Chocolate
Ajvarski
Numex Joe E Parker
Blot
Sheepnose
Etiuda
It will be so wonderful to not have to buy peppers at the store this summer.

Golden-Orange sweet pepper developed by Menkir Tamrat, on our farm. Long shape (similar to Jimmy Nardello) and suitable for use as a green frying pepper, a ripe frying pepper and for use raw in salads, etc.
Here is a pic of my first plant in hydro. They look hot, so it should be an unusual sweet pepper.
