Reading through the list, I see varieties with (1), (2), etc. For example on this post Kitayskyi Oksamitovyi.
I received this one and grew it out, saved a few seeds, and could easily return if (1) means not many seeds are left.
Edit: another variety received was Sherekhan...an orange-striped paste. There's a pic up thread. I don't see it listed...perhaps an oversight, or perhaps I got the last and should restock the store?

I'm not going to ask for much, but am enjoying this.
Thanks!

Anything with numbers after the variety means how many packs (5 seeds/pack) that I have left. If it's a (1) it could be less than 5 seeds. Varieties with no numbers means there are at least 10 packs. After the swap is over, I hope to inventory everything again, prior to the next swap.

It's my oversight on Sherekhan, and a few others, that I'm finding as I organize and inventory the last of the seeds. The few off-season trades (for me) always messes up the organizing. I also found the seeds from Whoz. ;)

The most overstuffed envelope Evvah, Surprised it didn't burst on it's way here and fill the postal truck with seeds Thank you Tormato and everyone filling the much more than needed envelope.

Toomanytomatoes, thank you for the spreadsheets. They will definitely be used and appreciated !

Small update.

Grüne Rispentomate (corrected to a medium slicer from cocktail/saladette - sometimes hard to tell with this fruit size)

I only use poly bubble mailers, and high quality tape for the overstuffed raviolis. Paper ones are OK for the thinly filled ones.

I find Pen+Gear just as good as the more expensive bubble mailers. I use Scotch Heavy Duty preferred a bit over Duck EZStart (I don't remember if they call it heavy duty). I always tape over the self sealing flap.

its late to ask is the swap still open ? I have a bundle of tomato seeds to send. My only tomato request is Pervaya Lyubov (First Love).
Last month I bought just about every flower my heart desired from Hazzards seeds ( love that name ), except the elusive White Rabbit Dianthus, it's out there somewhere.

It basically never closes, but generally snoozes from April 'til September.

PM me a mailing address, and take a day or so to add to Pervaya Lubov, if you wish.

Wow thanks Tormato, I expected a lazy Sunday to pull out all my seeds to admire. Now I have to seriously get down to business and quickly package up what I can give . Most are from last year or possibly the Fall before, have all been stored in zip locks in a chest .
I haven't tried the private message feature yet, will get to that after making a list of flying tomatoes.

Oops, I forgot to say, there's no need to send in anything, now. You can wait until about October, or so.

I don't know where to post certain information, or even if anyone cares, at this point. But, I was gifted in the swap with seeds of the "Johannisbeertomate" (sp?) with an indication that it would be nice if I could grow and save seed to send back to the swap. Well, I have one plant that is thriving. I shared the first two current-sized fruits with my mother well over a week ago (so early July in Michigan) and have now harvested two more, and will continue to harvest and save seed as fruits ripen. None of my other tomatoes are any where close to ripe ( Oh, except one Sungold fruit, that I gave to my son and his girlfriend to share, yesterday). So, these Johannisbeertomate are pleasantly early, and there are many more trusses of fruits on my singular plant, that are ready to ripen soon. I'm not a seasoned tomato grower, so, if additional information would be helpful, let me know.

@Tormato Where there is a will, there is a way.

I was in Canada visiting some friends and their 5 year old son knew that I liked tomatoes. He was growing his first plant ever and brought me his very first tomato. I asked him if it was truly his very first home grown tomato and he nodded, yes. I asked him if he was sure that he wanted to give me his first tomato, again he nodded, yes. Okay, I said. Then I can do anything that I want with this tomato. Yes Patti. It was a red beefsteak tomato but it was only the size of a cherry tomato. One of those that sets while the plant is in it's little pot but the plant never gets to grow. I told him that since it was his very first tomato that we should do something special with it and we should all share it. I sliced the poor little thing into 8 pieces with the dullest knife in the world so that we could all enjoy this young man's first tomato. He passed out the pieces and we all ate them at the same time and boy was it good!

I know you'e lying, because you were not using the dullest knife in the world. That would be me. The rest of your story is believed.

I am growing a tomato variety called Happy Jack, that I don't see listed in the MMMM. The is my second year growing it. I received seeds from my sister, who has grown this variety for several years, and it is one of her favorites. It is a pink or red oxheart type that online seed sources say is from Belgium. It is indeterminate. The flesh is very dense, with few seeds. Flavor is good for fresh eating or cooking/canning. It has a very tough skin, making it resistant to cracking.

I am saving seeds from every variety that I'm growing this year. I still have more seeds left over from this year's swap than I could grow in 5 years. I will plan to save extra seeds for Happy Jack, and contribute them to the swap.

I don't quite understand how "sponsoring" works, when someone is new or someone has a crop failure. Can I just send in seeds with no expectation of anything in return, and have my seeds go toward those "less fortunate?" I enjoy the whole seed saving process, so it's pure fun for me. And I love to think of my seeds traveling around the world bringing deliciousness wherever they land. But, I also don't want to overwhelm Tormato with excessive seeds and nowhere to send them. Any guidance is welcome. Otherwise, I will save seed to my heart's content, and send in as much as I can.

@Docmom I save every tomato seed that I can and always send them in to the swap. Tormato is very very good and finding homes for all the soilless seeds to call home. You can mark them for a category or just send the donation.

I'm growing Happy Jack this year too. I have heard some very nice things about it. My plants are not all that healthy and I'm going to take a leaf sample in for professional diagnosis before I offer seeds of them to anyone else. I would never forgive myself for giving problems to other gardeners.

You've basically described what a sponsor is, someone who sends in seeds with little, to no, expectations of getting much back (although it is sometimes someone who sends in many hundreds of seed packs and expects only about 100 varieties back).

Also, there are those that have plenty of seeds of certain types of tomatoes, but are looking to get types that they don't have. That's where others step in and sponsor them, by sending in plenty of those types. It's all about trying to balance supply and demand. Types of tomatoes (the categories) always seems to balance out. So, there are generally two types of sponsors, any type of tomato sponsors, and category sponsors.

It's individual "hyped" varieties that can have a demand far outstripping the supply.

Happy Jack (a really good heart, like most hearts) has only been in the swap a few times, with only a few packs, roughly about a decade ago. If many people read your post, it would be best to be prepared to send in 10 or more packs, and possibly a bulk pack.
