Re: Too Much Pollination - Opps!!??

Indysun, you might want to continue using the blower to increase production- your results are great! Just be careful which seeds you save.

Re: Too Much Pollination - Opps!!??

Plant monarda/bergamot/bee balm near your tomatoes. It attracts the big bumblebees which pollinate tomato plants.

My Dad made a nifty screw/bolt/nut/nail holder by screwing a bunch of baby food jar lids to a board then sorting all the hardware by type/size then screwing the jars onto the lids. Secure, and easy to see what to grab.
So did mine!

Re: So many things going wrong!

Welcome to the Junction, Shrinkrap! Sorry to hear about your plants. I do think you have more than one thing going on with them. I would take off all the leaves that are yellow, gray, or brown. They are not producing chlorophyll and therefore aren't doing any good for the plant. They are just a plac...

Re: Too Much Pollination - Opps!!??

1. Fused tomatoes which look oversized and often lumpy, are caused by fused flowers. Your leaf blower had nothing to do with that. 2. Tomatoes that don't match what the seed label says is caused by one of two things: the seed supplier accidentally put the wrong seeds in the packet, or last year the ...

As to having all micros: a micro can fit into more than one category. If you have been growing a lot of them, you probably have seeds that fit into different categories: 1. Micro category 2. Reds category 3. Pinks category 4. Yellows category 5. Cherry category 6. Eastern European 7. Knock your Sock...

Re: Stable H2 seeds?

Hi, Glad to see your interest in all this. If you save seeds from your hybrid F1, they are the F2 seeds and grow into F2 plants. You can't expect any two seeds to be the same. Not from the same fruit, same plant, anything. There are some instances where people seem to get the same plant from F2 as w...
