Re: How's your weather?

Started snowing last night; still snowing tonight. First real snow of the year. Winter Wonderland 'n all that.

Re: Total loss

Someone digging up kale? Kale is quite cheap here. And it isn't nearly as tasty as other garden plants. And the first frost is a weird time for someone to start a garden. I'd bet something like a deer pulled them up by the roots to eat them.

Re: Cheap Eaten

DH bought something called "Chili seasoning." Add ground turkey, onions, and beans and it makes a dandy Northern chili without a lot of work.

Re: White meat or dark?

We prefer white meat in my family. My sister was the only one that preferred dark, so she always got her pick. Really, I don't have anything against dark except that it's harder to pick off the bird.

Re: Whatcha Cooking today?

We had a 19 pound turkey for the 3 of us, and made a mountain of mashed potatoes and stuffing, so we'd all have a bunch of leftovers. I froze several containers of turkey/stuffing/mashed potatoes, with gravy drizzled over everything. We'll eat that a while. We also have many slabs of turkey frozen a...

Re: Favorite Bush Bean

Romano/Roma types have the best flavor. I like the yellow Roma's because it's easier to see the beans to pick them. If you want the string beans, (stringless), I like the thin purple bean, because the purple color makes finding and picking so much easier. They turn green when frozen or cooked.

Don't be worried if you're mystified. If you look up your symptoms on the internet you'll narrow the problem down to about 20 different things.

They're not trying to spoil your fun; they're trying to stop the spread of COVID. No, they're not the boss of you if that's what you're worried about. They're trying to keep people from dying.

Re: Thanksgiving

It'll just be 3 of us this year; DH & I quarantine with my mother. We won't have a lot of sides, just turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce & pecan pie. Hopefully we'll all arrange to Zoom with the rest of the family.

Mine was mailed on Saturday. I used the self-serve kiosk and it told me Gary's address didn't exist (street & number). Hopefully the post office in MA knows what to do with it.

Houzz annual secret santa swap???

7 years of college & I can't figure out how to locate stuff on Houzz. Last year they had a wonderful seed swap with Christmas cards; it was great. Can anyone direct me to the link for this year's swap? I cant find it. The link for last year's swap was this: https://www.houzz.com/discussions/5822660/...
