Yet another birds eye view of where I'm working.
This one is a view of the Nueces Mosque on the south side of the building.
The two closest buildings.
One morning during Ramadan the young ladies from the Mosque came over and invited me to breakfast.
I politely declined and told them than you but I had to clock in and go to work.
For those that don't know of by the way I have found more often than not.
During Ramadan you can't eat after sun up or before sunset.
I have no earthly idea why they picked me out of others to invite me.
Maybe it is because I say hello to them on occasion.
I'm not a religious person but I respect others that are.
If you look at the front of the second building you will see a little garden.
You can't see this from the street because of the privacy fence.

Now this is really where I live.
Just about a mile away.
Gotta love it' folks out having a blast.
Mud blast that is, can't remember how many times I did this in my 4×4 when I had one.

I used to chew on them but have always wanted to make flour.
Also the leaves help heartburn.

Thought I would show a picture of where I was raised as a small child.
We were able to move out of this dump into something more fitting of our station in life soon after.

This is the tree I mystically and prophetically predicted would fall or so it would seem. Telling my wife at lunch “I hope a tree doesn’t fall on me while I mow” (something I have never said before) and then minutes later have this tree fall as I had just mowed there. Weird, huh!

Next time you get on that lawn mower, say "I hope I don't win the Powerball jackpot today while I mow." And then think of a really good third wish, too, because you didn't use your first one very wisely.

Husband and I went for lunch today to the island city of Galveston. You get there by driving over a causeway from the mainland. I walked across the street (Seawall Blvd.) from the restaurant and took a few photos of the beach. Definitely not Hawaii or Tahiti, but we make do with what we have. The Gulf of Mexico.....

I always got to Galveston by way of the Blue Water highway.
I love the gulf of Mexico.
Hawaii can't hold a candle to it now with all the crowds and developments.

Here is a picture of the highway close to my house about 3 miles to the left of where I'm at.
For those of you that don't know what's in front of me.
It's one giant wind generator blade.
They come through here all the time..it's massive.
And take a look at that beautiful blue Texas sky and pretty clouds.
Makes a person glad to be alive.
