Big hello from The Finger Lakes!
Howdy from Upstate NY!
I am so glad I stumbled upon this fine forum of knowledgeable friendly folks!
Time to start seeds for the garden and it is my favorite time of year. Get the seeds out and decide what to plant. Lots of heirloom varieties for seed increase this year. Last few years have been slow in that aspect due to day job. Work, it is always interfering with me life
We have a small 20 acre farm where we grow mostly tomatoes and other garden staples. We have a roadside stand to keep stocked and a produce auction to sell any leftovers. Good times!
Best of luck to all of your gardens and best wishes for everyone's health and safety in this suddenly wild world we are living in!
See you in the garden!

Thank you for the warm welcome!
We certainly have plenty of cows and grapes around these parts! Our little plot is between two dairy farms, separated by a good chunk of land. It is my grandparents farm I was lucky enough to purchase and keep in the family. Doing my best to do it proud!

Welcome, Pleepleus!
It is sweet to see the first ones coming up.
Spring at last... even if it is indoors under a light.

Welcome from a transplanted Upstater that now lives in Kansas! I used to live in Rochester and my family owned property/vineyard on Canandaigua Lake. Beautiful area.
Many people have eaten food from my kitchen and have gone on to lead normal, healthy lives.

Tomato seedlings emerging daily. Transplanting season ahead. I go from many in a flat, round cell to solo cups. Got to get those roots BIG!

Re: Big hello from The Finger Lakes!
Hey there.
I drove up to utica for an interview once. About the closest I have been to the finger lakes. I can't for the life of me remember what company it was. Automotive, I remember automatic transmissions were the project. I took another job closer to home. I never had much interest in automotive engineering, and I guess it is really showing now.
Anyway, there were some nice views. Long trip from here, I stayed a motel for a morning interview. I borrowed my mom's olds eighty eight for the trip. That, I remember. It had a 3.8 v6 and 440 transmission. That was a smooth, powerful ride compared to my 3 speed auto dodge dakota, and really good mileage in comparison, even the though the dodge was roughly the same displacement 3.9L.
