That looks like one I have to try. I found some seeds at galactic magic seeds. Anyone have any experience with them?

I'm very unimpressed with GMS. I'll leave it at that. I'll probably have fresh Big Cheef seeds free for an SASE in January, because I'm planting it this fall.

I tried a salsa type this year and picked a red one today.
People are complaining it is taking forever for tomatoes to turn red.
It had a thick skin and actually tasted like a tomato,rare for a plum type.
It was hollow,so I will have to wait for more specimens before the verdict is in.

Amish Paste. I haven't picked one yet but they are loaded and a lot bigger than I thought they would be. Sun Sugar has also been nice in that it has not overwelmed me. I pick maybe half a dozen to a dozen each day and I can eat that many pretty easily. The taste didnt really wow me but they are good.

Gorgeous tomatoes, and I am intrigued by your teepee of bamboo stakes and the way you tied up the tomato branches! Do you have any more pictures of your technique? I really like it!

I grew Jaune Flamme last year (based on Carolyn's rave about them) and I enjoyed them - great color, very productive all summer, and once I figured out I should let them ripen a bit more, very tasty! Just didn't have room this year with all the new ones I'm trying, but it was hard to pass up.

I just counted 9 baby tomatoes, ranging from large pea to golf ball-size on my EML's. Hooray!!!

I had my first Brandywine yellow today. First time growing them and this one was very tasty. Good full flavor and a bit more acid than most other yellows I've had, which I like, and very meaty with less seeds and gel than many beefsteak types. This is my first off the plant, so we'll see if the others are the same. Not super productive so far, but that is what most people seem to say about this variety. This particular tomato had a few rotting/bad seeds inside, but I cut those sections away and the rest was great. I'm also growing KBX, Azoychka and Persimmon this year and hope to pick one, or maybe 2 to stick with for a large yellow.

[mention]zendog[/mention] we're growing KBX again this year. I will be interested in a side-by-side comparison of the KBX and the Brandywine Yellow when you get to that point.

If I had to pick a favorite new variety (to me) this season, it would have to be Matina (corrected). It's a small variety, only 1 1/4-1 1/2" PL variety, but I can't tell you how many tomatoes I've gotten from those two plants! I try to pick every one with a hint of red, figuring I could take a break for a day or two, but the next day there are another dozen or more! The only drawback is that this heat wave seems to have stopped them from flowering - one of the only ones, so far, but I'm guessing that they will recover quickly, considering their size, like cherries. Flavor is very good, with a lot of juice.
Here's what I picked today - a lot more not visible under the 9 Big Beefs! And I picked a number of them yesterday, too. And I had a lot of them that were getting very ripe, from other days, so I halved them, and have two shelves of them in the dehydrator.

Eva impressed me (technically yesterday), because it's a sweet, bullet-shaped tomato that didn't get wrinkly in my garden! That class of tomato usually wrinkles almost like a raisin in my garden. The taste is very good! I like the flavor even more than Maglia Rosa. The brown fruits are firm and nice and shiny. I feel like they would have a good shelf-life, and great hang-time. The calyces popped right off, with little effort.

Today it's Stump Of The World, one new to me this year. We've already had one and really liked the flavor but this one is probably the biggest tomato I've ever grown. 1 lb 3 oz is probably small to a lot of you but it's the biggest this garden has ever put out!

I love Stump! I think this is the first year I didn't grow it, just to make room for some more pinks and reds to test, but it will definitely be back next year.

My Taiga is just looking absolutely gorgeous and HUGE! I don't know how big these normally get, but these are really putting on some bulk.
