Fascinating. Thanks for posting the link. We've never had speck here, thank goodness, maybe because we're not "a cool and wet climate". I guess hot weather does confer some advantages if you look hard enough!

Also interesting is that they're turning to CRISPR to do some gene repair. It makes me wonder what other vegetable disease problems they can "fix" when genes are involved and identified.

Yes super post. We are wet and cool here in uk. Apart from the odd three days a year when we all faint in 30 degree weather :-) Roll on the snow and freezing. Hang on, we don't handle that either.....

Nice. :) It's always a thrill to see resistance to whatever plague or misery the tomatoes are suffering in a given year. Lucky find for them.
