Seriously Yellow Leaves on Cherry Tomato
Does my Isis Candy need nitrogen?
Neighboring plants at same age and fert regimen look amazing, what gives?

Re: Nasty Chlorosis
that is not chlorosis. it looks like a nutritional deficiency to me. chlorosis is a yellow of new foliage emerging not bottom leaves. an iron deficiency is what we would call chlorosis but this looks like a nitrogen deficiency to me.

Not chlorosis then, thought that was the fancy term for all yellowing. Don’t know how to change the post’s title though. I’ll wait for a few more to chime in before I load it up with N.

Re: Seriously Yellow Leaves on Cherry Tomato
I had one plant out of 32 do this this year. I didn't have the time to baby it and didn't really look close. So given that, I spayed it with neem oil and fertilized it. The plant did recover from whatever was the issue may have been.

I'd give it some Epsom Salts for Magnesium.

Root rot, or other damage to roots can display as a nutrient deficiency. The nutrients are there but the damaged roots can't uptake them.

Pruned, adding nitrogen and epsom, if the roots are rotten there’s not much I can do about it now. Will post an update when we see what happens

Re: Seriously Yellow Leaves on Cherry Tomato
I'm thinking mites. Specifically Tomato Russet Mites. Got a 20 X or more magnifier so you can see under the leafs, and on the stems? They look like translucent cones with 4 legs.
Mite damage mimics nutrient deficiencies.

I do use Azamax on them for leafminers, and the label says it controls mites, but I don’t have a strong magnifying glass to confirm
