Little Red Tree

I would not have needed any additional tomato plants, but I could not resist buying this one, when I saw them in the store today.

If these taste good and the plant grows well, I may save seeds, even I do not know if it is a hybrid.

Wow, the leaves are really compressed and wrinkled - interesting. Most likely a hybrid.

Looks like it's a progeny of "Stick".

If I saw this in a store there is no way that I could leave it behind. I just can't blame you for bringing it home. I do hope that they taste good to you. Please let us know how it does for you.

After looking at the link you provided, it seems that this company specializes in growing dwarf tomatoes. I wonder if there is any influence from the Dwarf Tomato Project on their products?

Interesting little plants, wonder how big a fruit you could grow on some of these if they were crossed with some of the beefsteaks.

Not aware of stick type plants being down under, pity.

Stick doesn't have shiny/waxy-looking leaves, though. I've grown it before (and I have some seedlings this year). I've never seen tomato leaves quite like these. But, you could be right. I'm hoping Stick's pompom leaf type is an all or nothing/something sort of trait, though. (I'm wanting to breed a bunch of new varieties with pompom leaves.) I thought it was dominant. We'll see, I hope!

Sari what a cute little plant! It almost looks fake, it's so shiny & green. For sure let us know how it tastes 🙂

To me it looks like Curly Kaley and I have also seen a new one by the name Oak Tree.Very much look a likes, and maybe to see the difference, if there are any, grow all 3 side by side one year.I have only grown Curly Kaley.
