Holy potatoes Batman! I'd hate to have to peel all of those spuds! Does the Maine Potato Lady pay you to advertise for them? :D

Wow, those sure are some nice taties! I've got storage issues too. No cellar, no storm shelter so they get stored in the house in the coolest closet which is still about 70-73 degrees. I might try leaving some in the ground with a bale of straw on top just to see how that goes. Kind of like the old timey clamp.

Pmcg, your basement looks a lot like my root cellar, except no paint and a chip rock floor.
I finally got my order in, and we'll be trying out Agria, Citadel, Nicola, German Butterball, Red Gold, CandyCane and All Red. The only fingerling I could get was Bellanita - they sold out of the others I wanted. We'll see what else we can source locally when the time comes. Shipping on these was more than the spuds! But as Mom said, there's no point in growing potatoes unless they're the ones you really like. So hopefully some of these will be the ones. ;)
