Wanted : Red Snapper - Determinate tomato seeds - CLOSED

Looking for a "determinate" tomato variety called Red Snapper. Any info would be helpful. I start my tomato seedlings in a few weeks and wanted a "new" red variety for my garden. Thanks as always. Can send SASE or swap/trade for other seeds. I usually only grow indeterminate varieties, but a friend of mine said they were very good.

Never heard of it (not that it means anything!) Why not ask the friend to save you some seeds?

He ate all the tomatoes before I could ever ask for seeds.

Maybe he has a few stored away? You only need 2 or 3.

I never heard of it either; It looks like a hybrid determinate tomato that sets fruit in the heat. I couldn't find anywhere that had seed for sale.

I hope you find someone with seeds.

Have you looked into other heat setting varieties?

As far as online orders go, I only see places to buy it in bulk (at a very high cost).

However, this link lets us know that local nurseries (not sure which areas) might have seeds, and this same place also seems to maybe have plants: https://www.rainbowgardens.biz/garden-t ... eo-tomato/

This is the first I've heard of it, too. Sounds interesting.

Unfortunately, all those links sell larger quantities. And it is hybrid seed. (Unless there are different Red Snapper seeds floating around.).

Funny coincidence, just last night I was watching a taste-testing YouTube video and one of the tomatoes was Red Snapper.
It gives quite a lot of information on that tomato and others.

Most are farm-type hybrids but they also tested Black Krim and OP Homestead.

They sell small amounts of seeds but are out.

The video is really LONG before they actually get around to tasting the tomatoes and it is at the very end when they actually talk
about production, vigor, etc.

Tomato tasting starts at 15 minutes. YOU CANT SEE THE LABELS WHEN HE HOLDS THEM UP BUT AT THE END THEY GO THROUGH EVERYTHING AGAIN. The winner on taste is no surprise.
