Re: Arnorrian's tomato pictures
Your pickins’ of salad greens are so pretty. I can understand why you love your neighbors yard. You have lovely cultivated vegetables but can look over and see a nice wild area with no neighbors using it—just birds and wildlife. Now I have a neighbor whose yard we call the ‘junkyard’—
so very much different. Now my neighbors do have areas of fallen trees and overgrown brush so hopefully foxes and such have found a home.

This yard has hedgehogs, redstarts and sparrows. And I planted some pumpkins in a part of it that is not completely overgrown.

Beautiful pics. That last one looks like an art poster.

Arnorrian this is a wonderful thread that you have created as well as is your garden. I wish you good luck on rooting those very special roses. I too have a couple of heirloom plants from my family members who have passed. They make my garden a very special place to me and I know that these roses will do that for you as well.

Re: Arnorrian's tomato pictures
Ditto the roses, they are gorgeous. We don't manage tea roses here very well, but I have rugosas and a few others that are fine.
I was wanting to dig an offshoot of my Blanc double de Coubert for transplant, but I find those outer shoots seem to have just about zero small roots/root hairs, and so it isn't as easy as it seems to just dig them. I have gotten a few to survive by potting them up for a full year before transplanting, otherwise it's a gamble... Any tips on propagating would be appreciated.

Re: Arnorrian's tomato pictures
My first try at rose propagation failed miserably. I'm trying again with woodier cuttings.

Arnorrian, I love your plants, they are healthy, congratulations
