karstopography well that sounds super and hope they all come good. as i have previously mentioned, i gave a second chance of life to those that didn't germinate and some pots are still coming through. I can't bear to not give them a go so I am keeping my fingers crossed. I am still taking cuttings of the larger plants and rooting them as well - must be mad. I've now decided how I am to provide a structure and support for the tomatoes and am awaiting some 20mm steal canes coated in plastic. I wanted to build a big frame but the costs were too high. Lets see how these work first.

I cannot change history, so I do hope i gave you a good impression of myself

This red-eared slider was in the closed garage this morning, must have wandered in during yesterday’s rain.

This Clivia surprised me with blooms this year, the 3rd year I've had it. I picked up a bag of them at the thrift store and was thinking there were too many for me when I spied someone watching me. I asked her if she knew what they were and she did so I asked her if she'd like to split them, and the cost, with me. Yes!
Last summer I thought that if an Amaryllis likes it outside why not Clivia? He did! Blooms and new growth at the base.
It was wintered over in the garage.

Rhodos are blooming here too. This one at the front door. Planted from a 4" pot 30 yrs ago.

This one, far right, Mrs Wilson is in the back yard.

This cyclamen is blooming now at the front door, too, under the azalea there.

I love the new foliage of the pieris that is now about 15" tall. Cannot get a decent pic of it all at once.

Pansies are so nice for early colour.

And someone left these at my gate yesterday.
Can you smell them?

You'd be welcome to come sit awhile.
Having a yard in the city during covid times is a real boon. It must be so hard for people without one.
My yard is too tight to photograph well as a whole but parts are doable.

The answer of course is picture number two, which is a green eyed alien ant from mars that is fed up of eating mushrooms and fancies a bit of peony nectar

Big eyed Click beetle. I guess the larva are wireworms which are a problem for a garden. Cool looking bugs, though. Fun, too.

Now that the rain has stopped, it's time to get some plants in the ground! Tomatoes, peppers, jalapeño's, habanero's, squash, cucumber, melons, okra and pumpkin.
