Yeah, bluffing doesn't seem to work against COVID any more than hot and humid weather does. Neither does hot and dry, apparently. We've just got to do what is required for however long it takes wherever we are.
Our province did the best in the country in keeping it down but relax the rules a wee bit and numbers start to go up almost overnight as people take that relaxation too far at beaches, clubs, bars etc.
Canada is implementing new rules for those who wish to travel from the US to Alaska. There have been too many wandering around Canada on some long circuitous routes to Alaska. No more.

I eased the coin shortage by bringing in $31 in coins to the dollar store.
I saved the bat quarter tho.

Not even a thank you.

A goof on them would be my old buffalo nickels and other old coins just worth face value.
I will keep the silver ones.

Increased gardening=increased canning=vinegar shortages.
You couldn't find gallon jugs of clear distilled vinegar to save your life.
Everybody is canning this time of year plus all the 1st time gardeners.
Things are just starting to ease up in the local stores.

Our church has been looking for a pastor for the last 2 years. We've finally selected 2 part-time pastors. Today we had a church service to hear them preach and have a congregational vote on them (they passed unanimously). This was the first service I've been to since March. It was better than your average service, in my opinion; just right for a bird-loving, singing-loathing, Covid-paranoid, introvert like me:
-there was an impressive soaring turkey vulture overhead.
-no singing.
-everybody wore masks, we all social-distanced.
-great sermons.
-no passing of peace, no hugs from relative strangers.
Might seem awkward to some, but it was right in my wheelhouse.

I have a religious objection to being forced to sing at church, in that I sing so badly no one should be subjected to having to listen to me. Singing would not be doing unto others as I would have them do unto me.

@worth1 , don't be scared too badly. I was scared too but it was not bad at all and knowing what I know now, I would not be scared to do it again.

I overheard a nurse say "people are scared to do the first one and then anxious to do the second one"

Good luck to you.

I @worth1 never wanted anyone messing with my eyes either. Never wanted the lasik or RK or anything like that for my nearsightedness. My mom has had both of her eyes done for cataracts and it truly was a breeze of a procedure. She loves her new much improved vision.

When I had my hip replacement surgery a couple of years ago, I had a little prior concern about the whole shebang having never be under any kind of anesthesia or put to the scalpel. That too wasn’t anything to be fearful about. It was like taking a dreamy nap with a sweet nurse calling my name when it was time to get up. I loved my doctor, nurses and all the other care givers involved. Whoever is doing your surgery has likely done it a bunch and they know what they are doing. You will be fine.

My mother had cataract surgery and the guy blasted her retina with the laser and started a bleed.
She was on blood thinners, so that eye was shot from then on.
She never had the other eye done and was legally blind when she died.

Nice, Slugworth, just what he needs to hear the night before his surgery when he is already scared. SMH. Worth, ignore Slugworth.
