I've been to Alaska a few times. Great place to visit if you love the outdoors. We have friends who were living in Anchorage (now Portland, OR) and visited them a few times. I enjoyed salmon/halibut fishing. I remember going to the Kennicott Copper Mines on this road that was an old railroad track. Most people fly there but we drove. It was 1-2 hours of riding an extremely bumpy road like you were riding the actual railroad ties. Would love to go back one day.
