Hello to everyone! Found myself here after trying unsuccessfully to log into Tomatoville for a long while. A very kind friend emailed me the link (Thanks, Tormato!). I live in Tennessee with my husband and our 2 cats, and love growing beans, peppers, tomatoes, and just about anything really! Looking forward to sharing about seeds and gardens with you all ;) Merry Christmas :D

Thanks for the welcome!

Whwoz, I grew some crossed peppers for you two or three years ago but couldn't get into Tomatoville to retrieve your contact info. They were successfully crossed (as I'm sure you now know!) but they fell badly from what looked like sunscald, the worst I've seen. I didn't grow them on, but saved seeds for you - you're surely way beyond the F2 gen by now but PM me if you want some!

To be honest with you I had forgotten about that lot of peppers - need to sort my seeds out better so that I know what I have. Would appreciate seed but not sure if it will get through, customs is upping their detection standards after the free seeds from China episode that we went through about the same time as the US

Well it would have saved you only one growout - I think I'll try planting the next gen in a different spot this season and see if they do better. They're really pretty, chocolate and brick red stripes as I recall. But not healthy. Perhaps a different location will help and we'll see what we get :?

Sounds like what I was hoping for, with the striping from Candy Cane coming through. The Red would have been Californian Wonder or similar. Must find that lot of seed for next season. Not good hearing that they were not healthy plants. Look forward to hearing updates if you grow them again
