Privet from Minsk, Belarus)

Hi to all my friends here.
My name is Andrey. I've been a GardenWeb member since 2002 and I'm a Tville member since 2006 (thanks to the late Carolyn). Also a SSE member and a passionate gardener. Have a dacha (a country-house with a small garden with greenhouses) near Minsk a capital of Republic of Belarus. Zone 4A.
Have been growing tomatoes since 2000 :) Also trading/exchanging seeds with gardeners over the world :D Have a big seed collection especially of early Belarusian, Russian, Ukrainian, Moldovan, Polish and other tomato and pepper varieties from East Europe including old varieties from USSR. There are also other veggies seeds, but it is really hard to maintain them since I have no help with this now and need to work hard to support my family.
Since I've been visiting Tville not often during 2020 I have no idea about TJ and all of you here. Just had this info few days ago. So I will be visiting both communities since I would like to comminicate with all of my gardening friends over the world. Glad to find you here ;)

After 2 weeks with high body temperature and positive Covid in the local hospital in January I have started pepper and tomato seeds between Feb 25 and March 10. Now it's the right time to separate yound seedlings in their own pots. I really like this time of the year :)

Здравствуйте from Ohio, USA! I've not met you before, but would enjoy corresponding with you about old Soviet tomatoes. I have several in my collection that I've been growing since 1991 and 1993, including two that were given to me by a Biologist from Minsk. I'm in the process of possibly donating these to SSE's seedbank and just finished writing the seed story for them.
