I have never grown summer squash in an Earthbox, for those of you that have, how many in each box? Thanks.

Well no one has offered an opinion so let me ask again: on EBs manual it says to plant 2 but I can't believe it. Those things grow huge! Esp width-wise. Wouldn't planting 2 lead to diseases & other issues?

I have never grown one in an EB. My neighbors grew one in a very large pot about 24" across. The plant grew and produced and spilled everywhere. It died young perhaps from not enough space. After seeing that, I would say plant only one per pot. If you have two planters though why not experiment and plant one in one container and two in the other and then lit us know what works best for you.

Hmmm that's an idea. I think I will plant 2 in 1 and just 1 in the other. But if I plant 3 different varieties that won't be a very accurate experiment. But heck why not.
