A few shots as of 12/12/2019.
Here is the elephant garlic and Mexican white garlic.
I think it's looking pretty good if I do say so myself.
The rest of the stuff is coming right along to.
When I get used to this place better I will post more pictures if need be.

Cant thank the requester Bower and Rajun enough for putting up the onion and garlic section.
Much needed in the forums.
Very happy it was named garlic and onions because many of us hill and swamp folk have no idea what an allium is.

Haven't posted here in awhile.
Here is what the garlic looks like.
You can see the onions in Bowers thread.

Ate some onions in a fajita last night and I can still smell them and the aftertaste is making me ill. You can have my share.

Onions aren't for everyone.
We grew a ton of onions growing up.
Look up onion and peanut butter sandwich.
Ernest Hemingway's favorite sandwich I think.
I have yet to try one.

I need to buy some more store bought green onions and plant them.
The ones I'm growing are fantastic.

I love green onions raw, but not a fan of raw bulb onions generally. I love em cooked until sweet! Garlic I love raw, I'm always a little sad that the flavor is diminished when cooked.

I just had a young guy at work say he loves onins.
He asked me how do you grow onions.

I said you sure you want to know, onions are complicated.
I tried to keep it under ten minutes.

Need to start supporting some of the tops so they dont break during a heavy downpour.
Got scrap wire scrounged from the job site to do this.
The elephant garlic I planted in the ground needed weeding and a hot shot of 13-13-13.
Will see in a day or two if it works if not I will give it more.
This is weed season for us folks where I live and this year is spectacular for weeds.

Not for sure I understand the timing of the fertilizer.
They need a good fertilizer from beginning to end.
They need as much nitrogen they can handle.
That's why I just go with 13-13-13.
Usually about once a week in some containers.
The big tubs without drain holes I wait a little longer.
There is one drain hole in these tubs with a tube in them.

It appears my dream has came true.
I wanted a big pot of onions to all go to flower because I think they are pretty.
The store bought green onions I planted are starting to put on flower heads. :D

All my onions are starting to make flowers, that includes the Gumbo onions I planted a short time ago. The container with the store bought green onions have big buds. I figure I'll let them go to seed and see what grows later this year. I was told to cut the blooms off the Gumbo onions which is a shallot and they'll be fine.
