What bush watermelons do you know about? Have you grown any?

I've grown Sugar Baby Bush, but I've also heard of Bush Jubilee, and a few others that I don't completely remember off-hand.

I liked the bush habit of SBB. It was pretty compact and ornamental, IMO.

I also grew Sugar Bush Baby a while back and it did well, as did Sugar Baby, but we preferred the flavor of some of the other longer vine types like Dark Star and Sweet Dakota Rose, and we had the room to grow them. I was never able to get seeds for Bush Jubilee, but liked the flavor of Jubilee. Now that I've cut the garden size down by 1/3, I'm trying Bush Sugar Baby again this year as well as Mini Love and Cal Bush Sweet. I'll try to remember to post the results.

I've tried Mini Love, but it was a poor year for all watermelon that year.

Cal Sweet Bush (Territorial) is described as producing 2-3 watermelon of 10-12 pounds in a 14-18 inch space. I don't think the vines were growing in a straight line.

I hadn't heard of Mini Love. Cal Sweet Bush was one I forgot about, I think; maybe.

Thanks!

I currently have just F2 seed. ;) It's either self-pollinated, or a cross with Ali Baba.

I do value F2+ hybrids and crossed watermelons.
