Alpha 2 plant is worthy

Worth exploring this one. Designated Alpha2 for the time being, seed are F4.

Other hearts from this cross, grown side by side, have been inferior in flavor. Not this one. Flavor despite adverse conditions says winner to me. Good size, texture solid. Maybe one of its progeny will surprise too.

It's always fun to have a great cross. Is this one of your own? I'm looking forward to watching how this tomato progresses in the next couple of generations. :)

Yes it's a bee cross from my garden. My saved Elgin Pink (carefully saved since it is one of my many favorites) kept coming up RL and hearts. Only heart next to it was an Anna Maria's Heart, which made it easy to trace.
I've been growing them out and enjoying the process. F4 will be germinating soon. If the weather cooperates, I might get to F6 by the end of the year.
Fun indeed.

No worries all, seeds will be available to all.

Yes Marsha, I had 2 plants of Lithium Red. One went down to fungus, the other to TSWV. Will try again.

The KARMAs have been vigorous with great fruit set. I've found Pink to be the most fungal susceptible, MF is 2nd. Once I taste them no doubt they'll be forgiven, and given better antifungal sweater-vests for the next round.

Gonna give the Bonide octanoate soap formulation a run.

You're very welcome. That's a beautiful table full. You're right about Taiga, super producer, especially when the gardener knows what he's doing.
