Does anyone know what the SMR stands for?

possibly Scab, Mosaic virus, Resistant?

Scab Mildew Resistant, I think. :-)

Well, there's a "Wisconsin SMR 18" variety also, so I'm going to guess the number probably doesn't refer to DTM. Maybe just a variety number from their breeding program and trials.
