This was my largest tomato I grew; picked May 5, 2023 -

Tomato was Cleota Pink.

Next week when I am home I will sow seeds for the new season. Hopefully, will get a full 2 pounder this season.

@Barb_FL That is another beauty! I do hope that you are saving seeds from it. If you would like to send me some it would be great so that I can send them out to others for next years competition. If we keep saving seeds from our biggest tomatoes then the weights should be increasing as we go on.

Sure thing; I didn't save too much from last season but will send seeds late December / early January from what I plan to grow. Timing should be good for the rest of the country.

MissS wrote: Fri Sep 08, 2023 4:18 pm @Mark_Thompson That's a beauty! Very nice for a single fruit. It has great stems on it too to help support extra weight. I like to see that. Let us know how that one tastes.

Please, oh please save us some seeds so we can share!
If you were talking about the Mega Marv, it always taste good. Very meaty, not much seeds and juices. One thing I like about this variety is even though there are catfacing, I almost never seen the skin cracks even after big rain, the plant do drink a lot of water though.

Found good info here:

Quite small compared to some of the others shown here. ... but humour me please. It's the biggest one I've ever grown, by quite some margin!

Variety: Uluru Ochre 784g

@Tim DH That's impressive, especially coming from a dwarf variety. A lovely color too.
