GG is one of my favorites ever, can any of you mad scientists tell me what it would look like to cross it with King Kong, Domingo, or any of the other giant reds, in an attempt to make a GWR giant that retains that amazing taste?

Cherokee Green got awfully big for me and it was a production machine too. The taste was good. Perhaps you should give it a try and make your dreams come true.

I’ve grown CG for two years, don’t think I have had a fruit over 8 ounces.

Let me see....A cross between Green Giant and King Kong would equal a Godzilla

@Yak54 If I do try the cross I think you’ve got a winner of a name there. Your GGs are fat! I have had them up to maybe a pound max.

I've trained them to do body building exercises while hanging on the plant. It seems to work ! ;)

Green Giant was the discovery of the season for me. Awesome taste, lots of tomatoes, and imo big tomatoes. I think mine weighed about a pound. Making the GG even bigger would be pretty straight forward in my opinion. Cross with a really big one and select for color, taste and size every generation. The only realistic way this could work is by planting dozens of crossed plants each generation, though.
