Two days without precipitation is the longest dry stretch we have had here in 2020. It's been really gray here and the landslides are starting from the supersaturated soil.

We're having a storm here today blowing from the south. One part snow followed by two parts rain. Hoping for a dent in the snowbanks!

3" of rain yesterday, more all-day rain today. So far we've had 11" of rain since Jan 1. More tomorrow too.

C-c-c cold! -5 F at 10AM this morning, after a low of around -17F during the night. We are just coming out of a few days of arctic temps, should improve slowly in a few days.

Lots more rain today and then by the weekend lows will drop into the mid 20's for a couple of days. An ice rink at the bottom of the garden? Probably not but I don''t have skates anyway. :D

the past week has been cold down to zero or just below zero up to 10 to 18 degrees at the highest. snow showers with an inch or two accumulation.
it has been blustery. the wind just keeps blowing. the north side of the driveway fills in, and i have to blow it out with the tractor before it becomes
too dense, and causes problems. supposed to warm up some come the weekend, maybe hit 30 degrees. be nice to have the wind calm down.
days are getting longer. need more sun shine.

I have to pay attention to your weather, Worth (and GoDawgs!) because every so often it flies north and dumps on us too. Rink situation in my road is dire after snow-rain then plummeting well below freezing. More snow than I expected but that's okay since I'm not shoveling my lane and so the snow residue is giving me traction. The road OTOH which was cleared is OMG. Drove over it today though. Glided, I should say. Well the snowbanks are so huge, there is no risk of falling off, only of getting stuck somewhere in the middle or lodged in a bank....

We have, at last, had a couple of sunny days due to turn into rain tonight.
I am going to plant broad beans this weekend rain or not!

Still a bit too early to plant my tomato seedlings out in the backyard. And my seedlings are huge. They will definitely have to spend Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights inside the house.

Keep telling me about "spring". What is that, anyway? We have had a couple of rains, and a few days that bumped above zero. A small patch of ground emerged over the weekend, maybe 3 ft X 2? still surrounded by dunes of snowbanks. The snow at my seed starting window in the basement is down to the ledge level instead of half way up the glass. The greenhouse glazing has been free of snow for two days. I was just in there, 80 F! Sun blasting.

It was really lousy out there, raining here for about 18 hours, and slightly cooler than usual. Supposed to be nice tomorrow, so I'll get some stuff done.
