It's the March selection of my 2024 Heirloom Tomato Addict Calendar, and what a LOOKER; I'm positively smitten: https://www.rareseeds.com/tomato-orange-accordion

Anyone had any experience with it?

I have. It's terrible. BER was a BAD issue and taste is blah. I personally don't recommend it but it may differ in your area.

Welp...I asked for it.

Let's hope so, after reading some glowing reviews, I ordered the seeds. I'm hoping it was your growing zone that did it in; I'll report back.

I didn't get any fruits off mine last year, it was the first one I pulled. Fingers crossed for you, our climates are a wee bit different so hoping it's a winner up there!

Forgot to mention that Orange Accordian is also hollow and to the dry-ish side. So if your thinking of it being a meaty slicer for sandwiches or burgers then you may be disappointed. However it can still be diced for salads or cooking recipe if you want a tomato taste in your soup or casserole.

Appreciate the detailed feedback. I actually prefer a drier, more hollow tomato for samitches; I don't like 'em sloppin' around, even a bit.

@Cornelius_Gotchberg If you haven't tried it, perhaps you'd be interested in my Costoluto Genovese tomato I'm rehoming. It's like Orange Accordian but red and a tad smaller.

Trialed it in 2022, and while I was enamored of its alluring shapeliness, the lovely and long suffering Mrs. Gotch got persnickety about the...um...Costolutos making it difficult to clean and process.

How I snuck Mushroom Basket, Zapotec Oaxacan (much less the incoming Orange Accordion) past her is anybody's guess; two (2) of each of those three (3), and the Inzhir Rozovyi, will go into an eight (8) plant box dedicated to Las Curvas Peligrosas....
