Honeynut squash are in! These things are small. Hardly take up any room in the garden, the vines. Two vines worth. Significant Root knot Nematode damage on the roots. Cute, could see these in a fall decorative display.

Honeynut squash seeds drying. I don’t think any of the other squash were blooming when these were blooming so maybe or likely they are true to type.

how did this batch turn out flavor-wise and were the squash given a cure or were they allowed to ripen on the vine and then eaten immediately?

I picked these squash back in June. They were mostly tan. Stored them inside house in a dark cupboard.
Flavor was very good. Very sweet. More sweet than what I remember butternut squash tasted like. Somewhat like sweet potatoes in flavor, but way better texture, less dense than sweet potatoes.
