That second front went south of here - it looks like some areas got it worse than the first time, but the rain total only increased by .02", though I was hearing a lot of thunder S of here. I really didn't need more right away, with close to 2.5" in the totals from those two recent rainfalls. More possible TSs tomorrow, but not as likely.

It got breezy out there later today, and the humidity lifted, so it wasn't unpleasant, even though it was hotter than yesterday. It's still 77°, which is about the average high for this time, but the humidity is down to 40%, while last night it was in the 90s. Tomorrow will be cooler, and less humid, so I'll get more done out there!

There are more rainy days this month than dry days. Now I know what it's like to live in the UK.

Small cool front coming through, making it nice late, with a nice breeze. Good as it will 91F tomorrow via prediction, and the air conditioner blw a part that won't be in until Monday. T storms possible for later Sunday, would be nice to get some more rain.

Nice enough earlier to weed out all the half whiskey barrels of the oat grasses nd admire the Firefighter rose that is having 1 bloom so far. Lovely fragrance and a deep rich red.

Couple of amazing days here for the long weekend, sunshine, no wind. Perfect for working in the woods, cutting down dead sticks and limbing up the blowdowns. Too much kindling, and a hazard in normal windy weather. High here yesterday got to 18C and may even top that today.

Cool and windy, for the next week in fact. Nights have been in the 40sF, which is a bit cool for frost sensitive plants so I brought them in overnight. They did get a taste of wind & rain, and I thought they could use a break anyway! They're going into the ground at the pantry garden on Tuesday even though it's a bit cooler than I'd like. PA wants the garden planted early (and he's a gardener too) and the seedlings are getting cramped feet in the pots. Weather isn't ideal but it's not deadly either, so it'll have to do!

Had so much rain a week ago I thought I was going to lose my tomato plants. The leaves were all limp and floppy and I thought the roots were going to drown. Was blessed that although more rain moved through the area all week, it skirted north or south and the wind dried things up a bit. The plants are looking healthy and growing again. Hot and sunny yesterday in the upper 80s. Rain about to come through this morning, but I think the plants are out of danger now.

Not so nice and frosty yesterday morning when I got home from work, low of 2.6C/36.7F at local weather station but definitely colder than that at home. Already (At midnight) down around 1C/34F so another white morning coming up. Tomorrow supposed to the third frost in a row, today due to be coldest of all -2C/28F forecast.

Is this frost normal this early in the season, in what would be our November, is this typical for your area?

Yes @karstopography, when the weather is drier we tend to get more frosts, and over a longer period of time. They have the potential to go through until October, perhaps even into November this year unless we get a change in the weather pattern, which needs to start with the Indian Ocean cooling off a bit along the West Australian coast. Typical pattern is multiple frosty nights with days with clear skies followed by a southerly - south westerly change where the cloud traps in what heat is about leading to warmer nights, then back to clear skies/frosty nights. We normally only go down to -3C/26F, but have gone down to -7C/19F before.

37 degrees rainy, damp, had a snow shower while at church.
only thing worse than the despised east wind is a north east wind.
last weeks 70s and 80 degree weather is now just a memory.
unfriendly tomato weather for the tomato plant give a way
i do every year. people there look forward to the plants i bring in.
note to self. grow more cherry tomatoes for next year.

It was only 75° out there today, but very windy - 17 mph sustained, with gusts in the 30s all day. I mowed the lawn, and despite over 2.5" of rain in the last 5 days, it was already dusty out there! That tells you how dry it has been. Next two days are supposed to be nice again, before two days with highs in the 50s - almost 20° below average!

Still suffering from the heat but I'm making it.
I only get dressed if I have to go out.
I saw a bunch of little kids slashing in a small above ground pool down the street.

Stickity feeling here, but the wind is picking up a bit, making it a bit nicer to tolerate the no AC thing. May have thunder storms predicted, but we'll see. I would welcome some rain, but not any hail or tornadoes ! Still holding the solid high overcast, cuts some of the heat, whew.

We actually got down to -5C/24F around 7 to 7:30 this morning. Very cold for here. Temperature at local weather station was -3.5C but we are colder and that temp was on wife's car gauge as she left to drop kids off at school and go to work. Tonight forecast is for -1C at local weather station, we will probably get down around -3C. There are a lot of burnt Chrysanthemum flowers out there and the few chilli plants left are gone.

It's been cold and very windy the past few days.

My tomato season is likely going to be mostly a bust. I have 2 store bought SunGolds, about ready to transplant. And, I have not started any seeds at all. It is getting very late to attempt any mid-late season varieties. It might be starting all of the very early varieties that I have, and finally getting around to making some crosses.
