I'll be starting a few more micros / short determinates next month. But which ones, from my box of untried seed varieties? I only have space for two more varieties. Help me pick from the list!

Andrina - 1 vote
Anmore Dewdrop
Anmore Treasures - 3 votes
Aztek - 2 votes
Ditmarsher - 1 vote
Florida Petite - 1 vote
Gold Pearl
Lille Lise
Orange Hat - 1 vote
Pearly Pink Orange
Vilma - 3 votes
Yellow Dwarf
Yellow Pigmy

Out of those, Florida Petite has good flavor. Yellow Dwarf didn't have any flavor to me.

Aztek for sure. I like anmore Treasures but it is not a microdwarf; more like a compact determinate.

I really like Anmore Treasures as well. Should have started one this year. They have a nice draping habit for pots and window boxes.

I put tumblers inside a 1ft ring support. As long as the plant stays under 18inches it's fine for my purposes.

I like Aztek very much too. It's perfect for window boxes. It can grow without any support. Vilma has beautiful red fruits, with tiny golden dots under the skin.

So far it's two votes for Anmore Treasures and Aztek, and one vote each for Florida Petite and Vilma.

All I can say is I have a few seeds of Gold Pearl and haven't tried it. So I vote you to grow it and tell me what you think. ;)
I have a big flat of Red Dwarf at the moment... it's the only one I've tried yet.

I think that Red Robin is the only one with any flavor.

I grew Ditmarsher a couple of years ago. They were gorgeous plants and very prolific. Flavor was OK, but nothing special.

I do like Red Robin. If you like that you might also want to try Bajaja, Balconi Yellow, Little Sun, Minibel, Red Profusion or
Sweet N Neat Scarlet Improved. I have grown them all and liked them as much as Red Robin.

Vilma and Orange Hat. Vilma tastes like a beefsteak in a teeny-tiny package. Very good old fashioned tomato flavor!

Hmm. If lots of flavor is a scarcity among micros, I should grow out seeds from a fluke plant I had one year and see what happens (I'll have to wait until next year, though). It had quite a bit of taste. The fruits were maybe an inch in diameter. I'm not sure if it's true-to-type.

Both Dan Follett and KarenO are involved in micro breeding projects, so I expect some interesting (= tasty!) varieties to come.

Micro tomato has a huge potential to address food security issues, anywhere that has a winter..

Just a note that ..yellow pygmy is a bit bigger than a micro for me ,,

so I would go for Ditmarsher and Anmore treasures

but being a bear of little taste and discernment ..all of the above would be good …….lol

Would you say Yellow Pygmy doesn't get taller than 18 inches?

I seem to recall could be a bit taller than 18 if given a larger pot ...unlike the true micro

it is a just a bit larger than micro ...but compact and fun flexible for sure.

I can add a vote for Andrina as it can take neglect and abuse and still produce red cherry maters with good taste.
I grow it every year. I've also grown Vilma and liked it too, so a vote there too!

The only one I've grown from your list is Aztek. It was ok, but did not compete with any of my indeterminate cherries for flavor. I'd grow it again because of the size, though.
