isuhunter's Garden Adventure
2020 was off to odd start
I took down my cages from 2019 in early 2020 after the snow cleared. Now the garden as been prepped, tomatoes planted (some twice)
2nd version of our growlist: (lets see what I can remember)
Sungold
Black Cherry
Big Beef
Celebrity
Early Girl
Aunt Rubys
Mortgage Lifter
San Marzano
Gladiator
Rutgers
Hungarian Heart
Super Sweet 100
Over the weekend we built a couple 8x3 raised bed gardens of Douglas fir. Filled with 5 skidloader buckets of cattle, goat, horse manure compost from a friend. Frost got 12/14 tomatoes - time to replant Everything has been replanted in the garden Potatoes are growing Rabbit fence was upgraded and expanded. We wet this up in the rain yesterday.

I too had a few losses due to the cold weather, but a late start is still a start and will put some maters on the table. You have done a great job on your boxes and rabbit fence. Lucky you to have a friend with so much gold for them.
It's nice to see that mamma goose is still watching over everything.

Really nice raised beds and rabbit fence. Looks like you never lack for company

Thats my anti rabbit technique for now. I've rotated a few decoys out. My neighbors probably think I'm crazy! haMissS wrote: ↑Mon May 18, 2020 9:44 am I too had a few losses due to the cold weather, but a late start is still a start and will put some maters on the table. I remember your goose from Tomatoville. The first time I saw her I thought that it was real. LOL
Does it really work to keep the rabbits away? I just might have to get myself of flock of these if it does.

Those are nice looking raised beds with all that good stuff in them. Good to see the "watch goose" is still on the job. LOL!
