No Gardening Competitions this year?

Our State Fair and our County Fairs have been closed this year due to Coronavirus. I sure am going to miss seeing the gorgeous flowers entered and the beautiful and large veggies that were grown. The gardening tents were some of my favorites and something that I have always enjoyed. Our 4H has always been very active at these events. The kids learned a lot and were wonderful competitors too. It's so sad and I am going to miss them very much.

I guess it'll be another year before there are any tomato tastings...

I haven't been to a state fair since I was in high school.
That was with the annual FFA trip.
Never been to a county fair that I can remember.
When I was in Brazoria county they had the fair in my town.
Every year it seemed it was raining cats and dogs.
Parking lot was a huge mud hole and everyone seemed to be wearing rubber boots.
I wonder if they will have it this year.

You can't argue with a closed mind.
You might as well be arguing with a cat.

Why dont we do one on this site? I know everyone posts pictures of what they're growing anyway, but I'd love to see a section just for 2020 - anyone who wanted to post just one picture of their best "whatever they grew".

Our Hort group is posting pictures to their facebook page. June 1 was Alliums and Peonies, then it was Irises, and so on. Lovely to see what everyone is growing and to give encouragement :).
