2021 tomato seeds started today

Starting from seeds only 4 varieties this year. Nyagous and Japanese Trifele Black, both Russian blacks;. JD's Special C- Tex, a cross between Early Girl and Black Krim; and Snow White Cherry. Started the seeds in an egg carton and placed the carton on a heating pad.

I'll buy a few other varieties from nurseries when the plants become available.

I had a similar plan last year but other varieties from nurseries when the plants become available never happened. It might be better this year but I am not taking any chances so I will be starting a lot more from seed this year.

SpookyShoe! Good luck with seed starting. Where does one find JD's Special C-Tex seed?
Refrain from calculating the total number of poultry...before the process of incubation has fully materialized.

It isn't easy to find commercially.

I removed the egg carton from under the lights and took a picture to record the progress of the seedlings. Of course the cherry variety, Snow White, came up first, and JD's came up last. I'll pot up when they have their first true set of leaves.

SpookyShoe--- No ideal how Snow White will fair in your heat. But it was a mighty fine tasting cherry in Zone 7-A. It did produce a little less than Sweet Million, but most do. . Trifele Black is a fairly good mater also. I can't sow a tomato seed until the 15th of March.

I grew Snow White last year and it performed well for me. I like the fact that it did not grow crazy out of control like Sungold.

Yesterday I up-potted the seedlings from the egg carton to six packs. It was mild yesterday afternoon so the seedlings spent several hours outdoors in natural light. Will do the same today. This six pack contains the cherry tomato Snow White.

Stretching their leaves before the big day? Love it! I'm green with envy.
