I grow SOTW every year, but am happy to donate this year's to Remy. I am also growing several others I got from her. I will miss her and her offerings.

I had to restart my SotW seeds because I had a seedling mix up. Seedlings did not go to waste, as I donated them to others with a choice of mystery names. My new SotWs are tiny and I just put them out, but what has been going strong since January is my Frog Princess that I got from Remy. Started this round of tomato seeds mid January or so and plants the plants out at the end of February. This round was about 20 varieties. She is just under a foot tall.

Here are my SOTW. Just transplanted them today. I will keep and grow one but 6 others will find their way into other Denver gardens from my plant sale :).

I'm growing Stump of the World plants in honor of Remy, whom I met at the Kansas City tomato tasting event in 2016.
Such a great and dedicated hard working person.

Care to share the story here? I know it has to do with the bible but I can't rememeber the entire thing.

On sorry the story I mention was why it was being grown and not the story of the name. Someone else might have the details of that.

I ended up with with 3 SOTW on a single cage. The 2 larger ones were planted out on 4/19/21, the smaller one is a replacement for the one I accidently stepped on... It was planted out on 4/25/21...for height reference, the PVC pipe is about 12" tall.

That's a lot to shoulder for one cage. Stump is a very hefty plant. It should be a beautiful sight.

I did not know Remy, but thanks to the generosity of Miss S and the MMMM, I was gifted SOTW seed and I wanted to participate, because of all the lovely things said about her on this forum and because it is so much a part of the spirit of such a lovely group of people in this community. I don't have a photo of it yet, but with our crazy weather here in central KY, I was just able to put my plants out this past weekend. I'll try to remember to post a photo of it soon!

I have one RL seedling among about a dozen SOTW starts. Seed is from 2020.

MMMM swap seed is from 2018 or 2019, tested for off type leaves.

Oh, interesting. Maybe it was a stray seed. With a cross, you would have 3/4 RL plants.

I might be the donor of the 2018-19 seeds. I had one RL out of about 6 plants this year from those seeds. I did dispose of it thinking that a seed from the next cell jumped in.

The reason there was only one RL is because the 2020 pack contained seeds saved from many tomatoes.

Here's where my SOTW is right now. It's from seed I got from Remy. I also got some Millionaire eggplant seed from her and the first one of this year's is almost ready. :)
