Can't wait.

First frost tonight with snow in the mountains. I will be hauling in grow bags and covering plants as sadly my tomatoes are just starting to produce...

Yep, fifties overnight up ahead this week. Haven’t had anything below 60 in months. Favorite time of year.

We had a cool night, down to 3C but no frost damage seen. 23C today and tomorrow will be humidex 27C to boot. These are running near record highs for the time of year, with normal highs around 15C/60F. It's been a very warm September overall.

Cool and dry.
No humidity to speak of.
35% or some such thing.
Total blessing considering the 100F heat and 90 something % humidity we have been having.
Turned AC down to 65F to get the place cooled off.

Severe thunder storms moved in last night with massive downpours. Today is 53° and with gusty winds. Gonna hang out inside, sip coffee and watch the nastiness through the window.

Over an inch of rain, so far, in just over an hour - it rained briefly, when I was getting home from the dentist around 11:30 am, but stopped until just before 1:00, and the sky opened up! The worst part is over, but still a lot left in the radar.

Update - up to 1.41" at 2:50!

Watching Sam spin is no fun! But the track today looks like it will pass SE of us, most likely. Still too much uncertainty for me!

Nice sunny day today after a couple of cool days with rain. Then the forecast is lots more rain and cold but no frost and daytime temps in 15 C. Think I'll bring in tomatoes now to ripen as some branches are breaking in the wind and rain.
The behaviour of light means you observe me as i was then, and not as I am now.
I cannot change history, so I do hope i gave you a good impression of myself

Fall is almost here - coldest temp overnight since Memorial Day weekend, they said - 51° here, and a bunch in the area in the 40s. However, as always, I'm not putting my shorts away yet - several days in the forecast in the 80s again soon, and back in with the high humidity.

Well... very strange but the remnants of "Sam" stalled to the north of us, and another low came along and together formed a "weather bomb"... Suffice to say we've been having gale force winds since around midnight gusting 120 kph, and that may continue until Sunday morning. The force of the hurricane blowing from the north instead. There are outages reported but so far I'm good.
The season for tall pea trellises is officially over this morning. Late coming moose will have to do without.

Sunny, near 80°F/26.7° C; after the desperately needed ~ 2inch/5.08 cm rain on Thursday, the Kale, Sweet Peppers (Sweet Banana, Atris, Gypsy, Mama Mia Giallo, Sweet Sunset & Carmen), fall Spinach-n-Lettuces, & Curly-n-Italian Flat Leaf Parsley are LUVin' it!
