Blush 2.0
I grew this last year, and it maybe tasted a little better than Blush, and maybe split a little less, but I had a lot of BER, and the shape was less appealing. I grew it alongside Blush, so it got a fair shake. I'm probably going to skip it this year and just grow Blush.
Anyone else have anything to say about 2.0?

Re: Blush 2.0
Grew it 2 years ago. No BER, but it struggled and was not happy in Florida humidity.
Decent amount of fruit early on, and they were beautiful with an iridescent sheen and crazy striping. Good flavor.
I was hoping it would turn out as sturdy as Green Bee, but alas.

Re: Blush 2.0
I have not grow the regular Blush, but Blush 2 was one of the best new ones for me last summer. It had some BER, but I put the blame to myself, because I grew it in a hot location and forgot to water it and the plants almost died. They did bounce back and I was able to harvest some good tomatoes late in the season. A lot of them did not ripen before the first frost hit, so I picked them green in October. The green ones ripened indoors and we ate the last ones week before Christmas. Those were the best indoor ripened tomatoes I have ever eaten. The flavor was fruity and if I did not know what I was eating I could not have guessed that it is a tomato.

Re: Blush 2.0
I grew Blush 2.0 alongside Blush in 2020. Blush 2.0 was the only variety out of 30+ in my garden to suffer from BER which it never outgrew
I will always grow Blush, which I love

Re: Blush 2.0
I'm sorry, that fruit at 8 o'clock doesn't look anything like my Blush 2.0, or svalli's picture, or the picture at the Artisan website. It is very nice looking, but it doesn't look like a Blush 2.0.
Thank you for confirming my experience. The other plants out of my 30+ that had bad BER were Marzano Fire and Orange Caprese.

That fruit is very ripe … a lot of what I see out there is still in the mostly yellow state.
It’s very striking when you see the colors up close.

Setec Astronomy
I too found that Marzano Fire was prone to BER, but it did grow out of it and I really liked that variety

Re: Blush 2.0
I didn't even know there was such a 2.0 version of Blush, when did this happen?

Re: Blush 2.0
Two years ago.
From Artisan:
"As suggested by the "2.0" this is a new variety, not simply a variant of Blush. It was selected from a cross between Lucky Tiger and a Green Zebra Cherry type of ours. So, Blush is actually a "grandparent" of the variety (through Lucky Tiger). Blush 2.0 is a true-breeding variety."

I wish they had given it a different name!

Re: Blush 2.0
I know! It doesn't make sense, marketing-wise. The current name suggests it's a new improved version of Blush. I think there would be more interest if it was heralded as a new variety. Hmmm...
