Farmer Shawn requested we post our success/failure with the old seeds from Carolyn's collection. I hope this is an appropriate place to do that.

I received seeds for Gavrish's, Pink from 2008. On Feb. 27 I planted some in potting mix w/bottom heat, soaked some overnight before planting in potting mix w/bottom heat, and placed some on moist paper towel. Zero germination.

If you have seed left, try the wet paper towel method to see if you can get any to germinate and then plant that. If they're really old it might take a while.

Unfortunately, I've used all the seeds. I still have 3 seeds on paper towel. The others are still in soil. I'll keep an eye on them. But at this point I'm not optimistic.
