Akgardener, if it were me, I would go out and buy maybe 1/2 to 3/4 of what I wanted if you are already at the time where it is time to get them in. Then repot some of the seedlings you wanted the most and that look the best and see what they do over the next week. You don't have to toss them all out. They are living things and respond to changes in care. Just take a couple of clearer photos not so close up and not quite so large and we can probably help you. A photo of the entire setup with lights, etc, might also be helpful. You are never going to get past the beginner stage if you don't adjust and try again learn what works.

@Sue_CT Im definitely gonna buy some just in case those ones were the worst of the bunch to me last year I had beautiful seedlings and grew very well ! This year it just seems like the variety I chose were a little more moody than others and definitely need extra care repotted in there new homesreprepp

They look great! One thing I would personally advise is not to hang all your hopes on one variety. First it is nice to have an early one and a mid season or later one, but also if it turns out one does not do well in your garden or is more susceptible to weather conditions like a very hot, a very wet or a cooler than normal season you might have another variety that does fine in those conditions. JMHO. You do you.

BTW, just how long is your growing season up there? You may have posted that before and if so, I missed it. Just curious how long of a DTM you can successfully grow.

Since I’m new to garden world from what I understand our last frost date is June 1st. The greenhouse guys tell me not to put anything in the ground until then otherwise I’m starting over and we have most of August on a good summer maybe a week or to into September I was told to stick with 70 days or less foe tomatoes

Wow, I have never seen cotyledons come up yellow! Is that an illusion, maybe from the yellow lights or flash?

Nope they are definitely yellow all of my siletz tomatoes did the same thing all came up yellow

Maybe someone who has grown them before can tell you if they did the same thing for them, but I couldn’t find anything about it. To me that yellow normally indicates a problem, not a characteristic of particular varieties. I have never grown that one, though. You might also want to try early girl which is 65 days and Sophie’s choice if you don’t already have them.

Ya I have never seen it before either and so far it has done it on both varieties I’m definitely gonna be buy more seeds and plant some others I have too see what’s going on it’s new to me

Are you using a new growing medium that you haven't used before? The issues you have been having might not be your fault at all if it is something like that.

Iam using all new soil I got it from our local 3 bears it’s called Alaskan soil heard good things but it’s definitely more heavy I need to buy some perlite because it’s seems to bog everything down

I would never use soil to start seeds, it is definitely too heavy and holds too much moisture, and it is usually not sterile. I think you would have much better luck with a seed starting medium, which is much lighter, usually composed mostly of peat moss and pearlite and is soil-less. Is it a bagged mix or something they make and sell locally? It might be great for use in the garden, raised beds or even pots depending on what type soil mix it is, and not be good at all for seed starting.

I know it’s completely my fault I really thought it was ment for my seedlings it said potting trays and pots so I assumed I was ok I definitely realize it’s not suitable for my plants at this stage there is no room for them to grow because there so watered down. I will go out and buy a new mix and repot all the tomatoes and redo my others . I looked at what I had it’s called alaska earth supposed to be potting mix it’s to heavy

This little gizmo helps lift out seedlings if you're transplanting. Just bust a few tines off a plastic fork.

I have something like that that I've used forever for digging the pepper sprouts out of the vermiculite in the strip tray, for transplanting. I don't remember the last time I actually used one for olives!
