Hanging Basket Tomatoes
I have a sunny spot that will only accommodate a hanging basket. After searching here it appears few varieties are suitable for hanging and most of those are cherries. Among the cherries or smaller sized tomato sizes that I have available to plant out are Sungold, Risentaube, Juliet and Jaune Flammee. I wonder If any of these might grow hanging. Also, any suggestions for selecting a good hanging plant for next year?

Re: Hanging Basket Tomatoes
A good hanging basket plant must have a prostrate or hanging growth habit so the ones you mentioned would not work. Heritage Seed Market actually has a section for the varieties good in hanging baskets. This year I have 3 varieties Shimofuri, Ladyfingers, and Pendula Orange that I will be growing in pots on shelves and maybe a hanging basket or two if I can find a place for them.
This is where you want to look for a good hanging basket tomato.

Re: Hanging Basket Tomatoes
Sirja's Love is a yellow cherry that does very nicely in a hanging basket. You can find it at the above link for Heritage Seed Market.

Re: Hanging Basket Tomatoes
I grew Spanish Dancer, Shimofuri, Garden Pearl and Rosy Falls from Heritage Seed Market last year.
I've grown Garden Pearl for many years and it's a great one for baskets. It's tasty as well as early and prolific and drapes nicely over the sides of a basket.
I was impressed with Spanish Dancer last year, too. They're larger than the Garden Pearls and oblong. I'm growing it again this year.
I'm also growing Shimofuri again. It has nice tasting, pink cherries and was productive.
Rosy Falls was also good, but I wanted to try some others so I didn't grow it this year.

Re: Hanging Basket Tomatoes
Varieties I have grown in a hanging basket are Pendulina Orange, Shimofuri, Spanish Dancer, and Borghese Vase Roman. I got seeds from
Ellie at Heritage Seed Market.
I've not tried Garden Pearl, or Sirja's Love in a basket, but am putting them on my list for next season after the recommendations, thank you.

Maskotka is very prolific, compact, trails nicely and I like the taste. I am trying Gold Nugget this year too.

Anmore treasures is tasty. Just FYI, you might see tumbling tom as a variety. It is beautiful in a basket but not that great to eat.
