Special in more ways than one here! Frost expected to go to -4C... or even as low as -8C "inland" (anywhere from 17 to 24 F). That's my frost pocket on times. It will be "partly cloudy" but ironically I wish for MORE clouds and LESS frost if that could be in the cards. Otherwise the wind is expected to die down to nothing during that total lunar eclipse in the wee hours, and the clearer it is, the more 'temperature inversion' we will get... ooooh.
This gardening fool has noticed how regular we get frost around the full moon.

Re: Tonight is special for us gardening fools.
well, i missed the whole affair.
i have had a head cold, sucking the energy out of me the entire week.
i went upstairs yesterday about 6:30pm to take a "brief" rest, and came
back downstairs 12 hours later.

The eclipse was neat and I hope @Bower the frost somehow avoided you!

We managed to stay awake and it was awesome, much more red than the one back in the 90's. I think read where the color was caused by ash in the atmosphere from some volcano in Tonga.

Re: Tonight is special for us gardening fools.
No sign of frost here this morning, but the weather record shows it went nearly to -4C right around eclipse time, and then steadily warmed before morning! Go figure.
Also regret to say I was rudely awakened in the middle of the night, but turned out to be two hours AFTER the big event.
There was a pall of clouds over everything and not even a moonly glow to be seen.
Happy clouds though, if they protected from any hours of frost.

Re: Tonight is special for us gardening fools.
I had a decent view from my bedroom window, although a screen was in the way of a perfectly crisp view. I thought it looked less red than the last one. I only looked at it a few times for a minute or two, and was too tired to wait for it to be totally covered, so maybe it would have looked redder then.
