That sure is a beautiful harvest. It looks like you have had good weather for growing tomatoes this year.

@MissS it started off slow, with cold nights and then we have had non stop sun. Hence there are now lots of hospipe bans

@Amateurinawe I have heard some great reviews about this one. I guess that I ought to get it on my grow list.

Re: AmateurInAwe's Garden
@MissS it is a gorgeous tomato, I am hoping to get some seed into the MMMM. How it will grow in other environments who knows, but I love it. It's a keeper next year for me.
Of course, this is nothing really to do with me. It is our good friend @Nico , but we havent heard much as I think he is very busy. But , I have him to thank for lots of interesting Spanish varieties. Some have been fun, I may not grow again but great to grow once but barbastro and Verde de las landas is a keeper for me. Rosado de ayerbe is also a good one, I think the term is umami , it really hits the spot.

Re: AmateurInAwe's Garden
Thanks so much for the reply. I do have seed for this but it is rather old. Perhaps I will add it to my Wishlist to get fresh seed. It is not found at any of the USA vendors and it sounds like we need to get this one in circulation.

Re: AmateurInAwe's Garden
So, I haven't a clue what this tomato is. I saved the seed when we were holidaying in menorca during the pandemic. I remember it was tasty, which is why I saved seed and the shop I bought it from was a tiny grocer in quite a small area and it was all local farmers produce. The fruit was all odd sizes and shapes. The red pepper I grew last year, the seed was from an enormous red pepper.
The tomato has just started blushing now, this one is destined for the plate...MY plate

Re: AmateurInAwe's Garden
So two of the Menorca tomatoes have ripened
It tasted lovely, it almost seemed as if it had been salted. Some green gel and a nice uniform size. Lovely flesh and not soft nor tough skin.

I have some great memories of holidays in Menorca as a child, we went to Santo Tomas every year for many years. Didn't have a taste for tomatoes back then though, my young palate was all about spaghetti bolognese and ice cream.

Re: AmateurInAwe's Garden
@rossomendblot you mean to say you didn't favour Brussels sprouts or marmite ?
I used to have a friend, whom I was not even in my double digit years I hasten to say, who was so hooked on marmite that he used to love sucking the marmite off the twigglet s back in the da y, not the biscuit bit..just the marmite. I used to love going to parties with him when some child or other would complain that the twigglet s in the bowl were all soggy...
I only wish I could have had a friend who was hooked on Brussels that I could invite to my families Sunday roasts.....

Re: AmateurInAwe's Garden
I love Brussels sprouts.
One local radio personality said he went to a friend's house for Christmas dinner and he smelled a dead body in the house.
Then he found out it was Brussels sprouts in the oven.
