I was approaching it from a word math probelem perspective. You have know what the real question is before you can give real answer. :)

Excuses excuses.
It was actually a test to see how many people knew there were minutes and seconds in an angle.
As well as degrees.
At least one member picked it up fast.
I have recently discovered to my surprise that many people don't realize this.
I asked one guy how many degrees were in a circle.
He said 360.
I then asked how many minutes were in a degree.
He said, 'say what?

Another one I threw out there was 3/8+3/8=?
Many responses were, I never was any good at math.
I'm not good at math but I figured just about anyone could do simple fractions in their head.

So I get pulled off a job to an emergency job.
They wanted me for 2 weeks.
They settle on one.
3 days later they're caught up and don't need me for the rest of the week.
Seriously.

No time off.
Back to work on regular job in downtown Austin.

We have a new young lady about 29 years old working for us.
One of the lazy bums shows up late at 11:30 to go to work.
He asks what they wanted him to do.
She has no authority but she said you can go home.
I'm liking her already.

The other day the young co worker im stuck with asked me if I believed in the holocaust.
Say what?
He said he had a friend that had some pretty good points proving it never happened.
Seriously?
That's when I came unglued.
I was flabbergasted.
I asked him what these so called points were.
He said he couldn't remember.
The idiot doesn't even know enough about history to even have an intelligent conversation on the subject.
Nor the IQ.
I told him I was old enough to have met survivors of the holocaust.
I've seen a tattoo or two with my own two eyes.
Talked to the people.
Knew soldiers that liberated the camps.
The more I thought about the stupidity of the very idea of denying the holocaust the more angry I became.
I was so upset I wanted to go home and get as far away from this guy as I could.

But no I played his game on his own ground but with my rules.
He had never heard of the atrocities inflicted on these people for hundreds of years.
He had no idea about anything concerning history.
Typical of a low IQ uneducated high school dropout.
Low hanging fruit ripe for the picking.
And these my friends are the people we need to look out for.
I've seen it all too often in my life.
People that are happy believing a lie to make excuses for thier inability to accomplish happiness and wealth in life.
I've read the literature they hand out.
It makes perfect sense but it's a total lie.
Full of racism and hate.
Always placing blame on another person or culture.
Taking the bad apples and making them the majority when in fact they are the minority.

WWII is almost ancient history for the young people today.
people of my parents generation are the ones who lived it.
we have a local guy, joe italian last name. he is 97 yrs old.
still gets around pretty good. he was a tail gunner on a B24.
he said he didn't think he would live to see 20. there are still
a few vets from that war around that can tell you what it was
really like, but there are less of them every day. i have known a few,
and talked to a few vets in bits and pieces over time. i also have done
a lot of reading about the war. suggest they read the hiding place by
corrie ten boom. her family hid jews until they were caught and sent to the camps.
corrie survived, but many of her family did not. through it all she kept the faith.
put the phones down, and do some reading. some of the things that happened are
beyond horrific. plenty of proof, and eye witnesses to the crimes committed exist or did.

I have had relatives who both died and a very few who survived The Holocaust. My father survived fighting in that war, though the cost to him was dear. For those reasons and more, I have little patience/sympathy with The Holocaust deniers or the ignorance of those who do/choose to not even know the short term histories of their countries and cultures.

A lot of ground was soaked in blood for the lives we know now. I am not sure if a debt like that is ever paid.

don't let your kids get sick folks.
we are running out of antibiotics.
amoxicillin suspension is a nation wide problem.
cephalexin suspension, the wholesaler is out of stock
cephdinir suspension, limit two.
azithromycin is now flying off the shelf.
i called it when i told my coworkers, now watch what we can't get in next.
it is a helluva way to run a pharmacy, calling prescribers to get a switch or another pharmacy
to see if they have a drug in stock. i don't know how long this is going to last, but it won't end soon enough.
next thing that will happen is we will be making suspensions out of adult doses if supply doesn't start reaching
the market soon. that will be fun.

Two more people bailed from the company last week.
They're going to lose more if they don't start paying a better wage.
Right now they could make more flipping burgers.

I heard about this the other day.
This stuff is an antibiotic so it wouldn't have any effect on the common cold or flu of which are viruses.
Now if they got a bacterial infection it would be different.
Why the shortage or run on antibiotics?

And the shortage of Adderall is disturbing as well.
Why does it seem more and more people are taking this stuff.

It appears I have 2 weeks vacation now.
I'm taking off for the holidays.
Depending on whether I get off on the Friday before or the Monday after Christmas and new years I'll either have to use 3 day or 4.

why the antibiotic shortage?

from what i have seen it is demand driven. rsv is affecting lots of kids. antibiotics don't work on viral infections,
but secondary bacterial infections can develop as a result, so prescribers will often prescribe an antibiotic as a
precautionary measure. also, if the cause of the infection is unable to be determined, an antibiotic may be prescribed.
my wife and i, as pharmacists rarely took our son to the dr after the initial well baby check ups. we knew most colds were
viral caused. something like 80% of ear infections are viral. they will clear up on their own. my son when sick, would typically
run a high fever, not dangerously high, the first day, and by the second or third day would be vastly improved. we rarely used
or asked for antibiotics. now, you do need to know your kid, and know when to seek medical attention. our church member that
is a doctor/pilot told us in the past that if symptoms don't improve within three days, THEN seek medical attention, but again
i think that would depend upon what the symptoms are. everyone in the congregation has the green light to call him for advice.
our son is now 18, and is doing well.

Austin soon to have the states tallest building of over a thousand feet.
It's going to be a high rise living quarters for the rich and well to do.

I also found out yesterday we have the fire alarm in the other high rise next to the one I'm working at in College Station.
They keep getting more jobs as we lose people way faster than they can be hired.
Something is going to snap no way can this keep going on.

@worth1 looks like Austin is about to get a bunch of new towers in that same area.

20 years ago I was the project superintendent for fire alarm for the building with the red circle and pointy top.
The Frost Bank.
It was the tallest building in Austin at the time.
The tall thing on the left ain't there yet.
