It's is available but has to be bought from GoDaddy.com for $70 then pay to transfer it over to Dreamhost. So in reality it's not available.

Re: NEW NAME FOR THE SITE
I don't mean to pile on, but once our name is chosen it needs to be registered. Before "someone else" registers it. We appreciate everything Rajun is doing for us.
Note: Tomatoville is registered, not copyrighted. Isn't there a difference?

I went to seed savers exchange tomato tasting event in Iowa In 2017. They had a work shop on trellising and supporting tomatoes and called the lecture Tomato Support Group which I thought was a funny play on words.

Yes, there's a difference between a registered and an unregistered copyright. There's also a difference between a registered and an unregistered trademark.

Re: NEW NAME FOR THE SITE
I was thinking TomatoFriends, but that might be a bit corny.
tomato.me seems to be for sale for $400. I'd say everyone pitch in a few bucks to buy it.

Re: NEW NAME FOR THE SITE
Too many replies for my old eyes to read them all but I saw a couple good ones. Most are only looking at our tomato interests but the list of sub-forums make it look like a mini Garden Web. Present name implies that we are all ex=TV. I am not and never was but few there ever grew as many varieties of tomatoes as I have nor as many years. As it looks right now, the site is set up just about completer as far as gardening goes. A name which would reflect that might be appropriate.

Re: NEW NAME FOR THE SITE
Tomatoville was really the same way. Talk and forums were primarily about tomoatoes but there were subforums for other types of gardening as well as off topic, non gardening posts. But the focus was on Tomatoes, hence the name. This site came to be because Tomatoville it was announced, was going to be shut down. For that reason it was originally supposed to be another Tomato forum to take Tomatovilles place. Since TV is now staying open as a subscription site, I don't know if that has changed. I hope not. Anything that fully encompases all types of gardens would end up massive in size even if it it wasn't as big as Garden Web, and I suspect would be difficult to handle. Mayb Rajun has aspirations, but then again, maybe not, lol.

LOL!! No aspirations. This isn't about money for me, I just volunteered to start a new place for us.
What would I do without my tomato junkies pushing seeds?

Re: NEW NAME FOR THE SITE
I know the name has already been chosen, and I don't suggest we change it, but for the sake of fun, tomatooverflow.com would be a great play on stackoverflow.com.
