When will the fog lift?

I once long ago had the pleasure of visiting Massachussetts for a martial arts summer camp. We landed in Boston and then drove to some small place where the meet was held at a school. Just the view of your forests from a moving vehicle was unforgettable, and unlike any I've seen.
Hardwoods are rare here except for birch, pin cherry and some smaller native shrubs. Maple has been widely planted, others like oak are truly rare and would only be found in a private garden.
