I don't consider it a mini-"beefsteak", as a beefsteak to me means a very meaty interior. It's more like a mini-Costoluto Genovese. MO is not meaty, the interior is mostly gel and seed. But, it has very good sweet flavor. It can load up with an almost uncountable number of 1 to 1 1/2 ounce red ribbed fruit, over a long growing season. It's very early, for me, at 79 days from sowing (28 days to transplant), which translates to 51 DTM, in my garden. That was in one exceptional year. Perhaps in a typical year it is later than that.

I'm having trouble with finding anything on Senator sweet Hungarian pepper. Anyone know of its size, shape, days to maturity or color?

Carneal Tiger has another name that it was known on in the forums so maybe search that. It was called Big Chef Stripes. Bill Jeffers worked on this one and named it for the friend who allowed him to grow out the seeds in his garden, Mr Carneal. Grew it last year and it was one of my favorites. Mid RL ( if I remember correctly, Ind great production! Tasty with enough heft.

@OhioGardener Torre Canne likely came from me, I was gifted me a few tomatoes of it to save seeds. I believe it's the same tomato as described in the link you posted. Plants were relatively compact, fruits hold well as expected.

I posted this in the Arrivals/Departures thread and meant to post it here.
I finished the Excel spreadsheet with the specs on the tomato varieties I got for MMMM. Data includes (if found) name, year, OP/F1, DTM, leaf type, color, det/indet, type, shape, plant size, fruit size, origin, remarks. I also included excel notes for names with information on breeders or stories about the tomatoes,for descriptions of bi-colors and for anything else I found interesting. Question marks in cells indicate I couldn't find the information.
There are 189 varieties on the spreadsheet. If anyone would like a copy of it just PM me with your e-mail addy. The spreadsheet is not protected so feel free to rearrange it and add your own data to it. Keep in mind that descriptions for a tomato's color vary from one vendor to another but I tried to use those descriptions that various vendors had in common.

uncle steve italian plum someone had a question on.
the tomato is a large red romano shaped fruit about 8 to 12 oz in size,
meaty, but not dry, good old fashion tomato flavor leaning toward acidic.
good for fresh eating, cooking or canning. about as all purpose as you can get.
the plant is viney, indeterminate. regular leaf. leaves are narrow. usually one of
the last plants standing in my garden.
tomato production is usually pretty good. last year was a bumper crop for me.
original source was my great uncle steve messina. he was born in sicily, late 19th century.
it is the only type of tomato i saw growing in his garden. i am guessing that the tomato
is from the region of sicily. uncle steve never said what variety the tomato was. same thing
with the pole bean i got from him. grow them both. they are very good.

Zupa Pepper
It's an ultra-early sweet bell pepper that goes through three colour changes IIRC. The final stage is a pillar box red, and it's prolific and tasty. I was a bit late sowing mine, so I cannot vouch for the ultra-earliness.

To me and a few others, Prue is one of those rare "unique" flavored tomatoes. In my opinion, Prue could be the single most underrated tomato, as judged by its flavor against the percentage of tomato addicts that have grown it.
I rate it a 9-, the only tomato that I give such a rating. The reason for the minus is that there are taste buds, somewhere on the back of my tongue, that detect some flavor compound is missing from it being a very complex flavored 9+.
If it's a heart, Picasso painted it, as its shape can be all over the place. Productivity was middle of the road. If one falls in love with it, one grows more than one plant. It's "origin" is somewhere, here, in western Massachusetts.
I think I better search for the seeds, now.

I agree with Tormato. It is an excellent variety but not overly productive. I had very low production in the heat. Due to the production, it has not stayed on my top 10-20 list.

If I had known you were going to do a spreadsheet, I wouldn't have taken it so easy on you with the number of varieties.
