light drizzle here too Whwoz . Looks like it will be going on for a few more days before the sunshine returns so on blightwatch everyday. Not dry enough to spray as it will all wash off again.

We look to be near the end of it Amateurinawe , at least in northern Victoria, haven't checked around home, we are about 350 km away from home. Doing a loop around the state for kids in school holidays and today looks like the wettest.

The rain and slightly cooler weather might allow my wild tomato plants to set fruit.
Just maybe.

I had another downpour a little while ago - .90" in just under 25 minutes! The temperature dropped 7°, but has started going up again.

It's cloudy and feels rather tropical out there. Very humid with a light breeze ahead of TS Elsa. We're not supposed to be affected much as it will pass southeast of here. I sure hope we get some rain though. The weather alert has gone off twice in the last half hour with a tornado warning (radar indicated) but that's about 50-60 miles away and not headed this way.

True native and proof in my book.
My wild pepper plant survived the cold winter where others croaked.
This species must have been around for lord only knows how many thousands of years.

4” yesterday, 1.8” overnight, 2-3” day before yesterday, hard to remember exactly, brain super saturated in rainfall. Supposed to start slowly drying out to about an inch of rain per day. Wish it was all an exaggeration, but no inflated numbers. Unfortunately, I sit right under the giant stationary towel ringer of North America. Other places have rain that comes and goes, ours just comes and comes and comes again. My first work as POTUS will be to drain the Gulf of Mexico and erect a dam between Florida and Cuba and Cuba and the Yucatan. The mighty Mississippi will be diverted to the parched west. Think of the jobs it’ll create!
Zone 9b, located in the Columbia bottomlands, annual rainfall 46”

1/10" of rain is all we got from Elsa. Now she's off to go bother some folks in the Carolinas and points farther north. This means I need to do some watering today.

Well it looked like a return to "normal" July weather: highs in the 70's with occasional dips into the 60's, and overnight lows at 50F +. But still it's blowing hot and cold, all it takes is a change in the wind. Temp this afternoon has already fallen to 52 F. Tonight will be NE flow diminishing to stillness, and yes, another frost warning for low lying areas. The low if not frostworthy will be 45 F. These frost warnings are coming within a day of the new or full moon like clockwork.
The amount of purple on my outdoor tomato plants after the cold week is scary looking. More like a bunch of kohlrabi.
I suppose this could continue all summer, so wish me luck... I won't be happy if those little fruit are damaged.

Everyone stay safe and hope not too much damage on the east coast. Here is hoping no one needs a row boat. Worried about watery, tasteless tomatoes. Hopefully the several inches of rain every week ends soon.

Elsa is almost here, and I'm getting the rain, already. It's forecast to go right along the coast, now, so I won't be getting as much wind, but still, a lot of rain coming.

Indeed. I think we've gotten around 6-7" of rain in 2 weeks here. I need to start logging rainfalls in a diary. Wish the storms were spread out. Also wish we could send 75% of the rain out west.

We're fortunate that we generally don't have water supply issues in Mass.

Typical summer weather for this area. Hot. Humid. Splash and dash afternoon showers. If it doesn't rain one afternoon and I take the opportunity to spray, it will surely rain the next afternoon. Perfect weather for an invasion of the Funk Monsters.

Finding suitable time to spray is the challenge. I was able to get one spray in but that is it so far.
